Underwear Post Implant Surgery?

My doctor's post surgery protocol requires that I wear an underwear that will keep my partially inflated penis pointing straight up toward my navel for several weeks. However, he gave no recommendations for the underwear.

I would appreciate recommendations for suitable, post surgery underwear.

That's a strange request by your doc. You may have to try some spandex shorts.
Are you going to have to stand on your head to pee? LOL

I bought satin boxers for night time. Still wearing them 6 months post.

What is the purpose of having the penis pointing straight up for six weeks? I had implant surgery and my surgeon never mentioned anything like this and I had a great outcome. I’m three months post op now and doing terrific.

They usually put the patient into a support garment (jock strap) after the surgery. I wore the jock strap for a few days after surgery (I washed it since there were blood stains on it).

I also used 3M NexCare foam tape to tape my penis to my abdomen. That worked out. I had low-rise Jockey shorts that I tried, however they left half my penis sticking above the elastic waistband and that was a bit uncomfortable.

As I understand it, keeping it up against the abdomen during healing is supposed to help it heal at a higher angle. I didn't do so religiously and mine hangs at about 4 o'clock to 4:30 when inflated. I don't know for sure but I doubt my low angle correlates to how I healed. I just don't have a very deep crus (only about 0.9-1.2" deep) and I apparently have a looser than normal suspensory ligament.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys.

I think I'm going to do this:
Fold the elastic band on my underwear down an inch or so to hold my penis up and in place.

I tried this with an erection. It was comfortable, effective, and I didn't notice it much.

Immediately post-op (the most important time for positioning the penis), the waistband trick may not be as comfortable as you hope.

I wrapped my penis in a lot of medical gauze (for padding and sterility) and wore an athletic supporter (jock strap) one size smaller than normal. This, on recommendation of my surgeon.

Most implanted men (by the reports I have read) have erections that point lower than before the implant. Considering that an erection that points higher is generally considered better for coitus, it seems prudent to take whatever steps are necessary to keep that erection pointing up. Mostly, that entails letting the scar tissue forming around the proximal end of the implant to form with the most upward orientation possible. So, holding the base of the penis pointing as upward as possible (along with the distal portion) seems the best idea.

So, point your entire penis' shaft from scrotum to meatus (tip) up.

I wear mine (as I did even before the implant) pointed up whenever I can.
