When Deflated, How Should I Position My Penis?

Postby WindWizard » Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:26 am

I have a curved penis, about 30 degrees pointing downwards. I had this curve before implantation, and just as Dr. Karpman predicted, I have the same curve after implantation.

I am not overly concerned with it, sex is definitely still possible, but some positions, like missionary, are kind of hard to do because of the downward curve. Sex puts a lot of pressure on my penis when I'm inserting, as her body is essentially trying to bend my penis back into a more normal shape for missionary. I'm not sure if bending or pressure on an inflated penis is something to be concerned about, in terms of wearing down my implant, but I feel like a straighter penis would make me more comfortable and make sex more comfortable.

Overtime with repeated cycling and usage, my penis should straighten out, at least according to Dr. Karpman and many members of this forum.

However, when deflated, I keep my penis tucked inside my underwear and pants, pointing downwards towards the floor. This is the most comfortable and natural feeling position for my deflated penis. It's worth noting tho that when naked, my penis sticks out a little more, and isn't as close to the rest of my body. The underwear and pants kind of pull my penis in closer to the rest of me, if that makes sense. I'm wondering if the pressure of my underwear and pants on my penis during the day might actually prevent my penis from straightening out with cycling the way it should.

Would it be wise to instead position my penis so that it is pointing upwards and against my lower abdomen? This doesn't quite feel natural, even when deflated my implant is still somewhat stiff, and the curve is still present, albeit not as pronounced. When I position my penis upwards, it resists the pressure that the underwear and pants put on it, and it feels mildly uncomfortable, like I'm bending it out of it's more natural position. Would doing this overtime help in straightening out my penis? Is the pressure I feel when my penis is in an upwards position anything to be concerned about? Could this pressure put unneeded stress on my implant contributing to an earlier failure?

Hopefully someone has experience with a similar situation, but I'd appreciate any and all input. Thank you so much!

There are two different things going on here. When inflated, is your penis curved with Peyronie's or does it just hang low?

If it's physically curved, modeling while mostly inflated may help straighten it out and putting it down into your pants shouldn't affect the bend. You will be sore though after you remodel or bend your penis straight.

If however, you just hang low but there's no physical bend, it may be due to a loose or damaged suspensory ligament and bending it down into your pants may exacerbate the issue.

I removed all bend I had post surgery, by simply bending against the curve while inflated... I have a loose suspensory ligament and short crus though and I hang about 4 o'clock or 4:30 when inflated.

I dont have that problem but if I were you I wouldn't position it downwards when deflated. Position it to the side would be much better and hopefully train your weapon to get closer to the 3pm position ( The large Majority seem t be there )

When inflated, my penis is curved downwards with Peyronie's. It doesn't hang particularly low, the base of the inflated penis sticks slightly above 3 o clock, but the bend afterwards points it downwards by at least 30 degrees.

If it's physically curved, modeling while mostly inflated may help straighten it out and putting it down into your pants shouldn't affect the bend. You will be sore though after you remodel or bend your penis straight.

Interesting... I hadn't considered trying to model it to straighten it... How often did you model it? And for how long per day? Maybe I'll see if I can find more material on the forum about this and what exactly it would entail. I just wonder if modeling it might affect the life/constitution of the implant and cause it to fail earlier...

Interesting... I definitely don't think there is anything wrong with suspensory ligament... Did your doctor recommend you bend against the curve when mostly inflated to straighten it out, or was that something you discovered?

Thank you for your input!

Position it to the side? That's interesting... I'm not really sure how I would do that unless I wore extremely tight fitting underwear to keep it there. Otherwise it would simply fall and hang down as it usually does...

Do you alternate sides or just position it to one side?

Actually, I modeled my bend for about a week at first, at least once or twice a day. As I recall, I remodeled every time I cycled during that time and I was cycling every time I had it in my hands, for peeing, showering, changing clothes, etc.

I went to about 90% pressure or so and bent down on the upturned half, until the stretching caused discomfort and then I held is there for a while (maybe a minute). Remember, you WILL be sore in the area you stretched and the soreness may be more than you experienced during the post-op healing. This isn't just putting a balloon inside but rather causing minor trauma to the fibrous tunica.

The soreness to me was about what I experienced when I used a traction device to try to stretch my length before I went in for surgery.

I would say to wear it whatever way is most comfortable.

Approaching 5 month post op. My semi flaccid turns to the left. When inflated it is straight and no indication I ever had PD. 97 degree bend gone. With cycling I can’t even feel areas of plaque that I could after the surgery. I just let it lean to the left or give it a pump and it’s all good

Mine is always position to the side with tighter under ware. I just keep it one the same side ( Not too comfortable on the other side)
