won't inflate......
My AMS CX, implanted about 2.5 years ago, has recently stopped working properly. It won't inflate (I can't feel the "pop" when I squeeze the bulb to begin inflation). However, I can occasionally get it to work by first lying on my back and pushing in the deflate button, while at the same time squeezing any saline fluid from my penis back to the resevoir. But this doesn't work most of the time. Anyone else ever have this problem??

I have not. If anything like this happened to me I would call the AMS Patient Liaison. They often have the best advice. Often even better than the surgeons. More practical in operating the device. Surgeons are often better acquainted with medical than mechanical.

Yes, as LS said, Patient Liaison has some unpublished/undocumented fixes that may help you. If nothing in the AMS booklet has helped the issues, they still may have a few tricks to try.

Re: won't inflate......
They told me to push the delfate button in and squeeze the fluid from the tip of the penis to the base of the penis (while holding the deflate button in). In other words, get all of the fluid out of the penis and back into the reservoir. This worked the first few times I did it, but it rarely works now, sadly...
Re: won't inflate......
When that happened with my titan A ct showed the reservoir had a lot of saline around it on the outside. This was right after hernia surgery which was on same side as reservoir.
I would say see your urologist asap.

Re: won't inflate......
Thanks for the advice, wolfcreek. I tried what you suggested and it worked for me! Sorry this method doesn't work for you anymore!!
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 73 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

Can you try sitting in a bathtub with warm water, then after few minutes, try to squeeze the pump quickly as close as possible to the top of the pump near the valve.
