Advice for a 24 year old considering implant

Postby Accutane2020 » Wed Mar 04, 2020 7:37 am

Hi guys,

To cut a long story short I have been dealing with quite severe ED for several years as a result of many years on a drug known as accutane. It seems One of the side effects of accutane can be some kind of change in gene expression that leads to a lack of libido and seemingly permanent erectile issues.

Without getting too involved in a debate regarding side effects and science, the end result is a 24 year old with zero erections and a very low libido. Unsurprisingly, this is making things difficult when engaging in sexual relations, cialis and viagra no longer work and I would prefer not to use injections.

I am aware that an implant is a permanent step and irreversible. In my situation it seems a good middle ground however. I would be interested in the views of anyone with a knowledge as to how realistic an implant would be at this age. I am aware revisions would be needed at an average rate of every 5 years or so but is there a limit to the number of revisions one could have over their lifetime ?

After revision surgery, how have long have you all needed for downtime? The same as with the initial surgery or do you find you recover quicker ?

I am also interested in sensation, I have read that in some cases the Penis head can be desensitised after the surgery, this would be an issue as I am already experiencing some desensitisation.

Finally, can you still live an active life with an implant ?

Did you check your hormonal status? Testosterone, estradiol, prolactine?
Please start there as your problem may be dure to gene, but also due to hormonal disbalances, or a gene that causes hormonal disbalances.

Accutane,

1st off, I agree with Strutter. Check your levels.
One is not related to the other! My libido is fine, but since I had surgery, I can't do any self-luv, but boy, seeing porn lets me know I am still alive, lol.

In reference to your questions:
Downtime depends on how your body responds to surgery. I got a malleable put in on Dec. 10, '19, and by the 4th day I was handling myself very gingerly.
Just had a Titan put in 3/2/2020 and have not touched my dick because I am too sore.

An implant at your age...so what? Technology has come a very long way, and I expect implants will get into mainstream just like Viagra and Cialis. Again, check your levels before going down this road because, just like you said, it is one way street and no turning back. If a future partner asks, say you were born with a funky feeling 3rd ball. Keep in mind that, as long as you don't cum, you can fuck for hours!!!

Revisions are dependent on your circumstances. I have gone through 3 revisions in 6 months. If all goes well this time, the life of the implant, speaking of the 3-piece, is approx. 15 years.

Sensations should not change, except for the fact that you had an implant. It will take a while to get used to having the feeling of an implant in your body, but you can still fuck and cum.

Active lifestyle. Yes, but it will take time. I play Racquetball. Come this August, it will be a year since playing. I had a very brief brush with play, but it was VERY brief (bad knee from ACL). Keep reading in FT. Lots of active guys on here. Good luck!

Even if you do cum, if you have the will to keep going and can soldier through the hyper-sensitivity for the first 20-30 seconds after cumming, you can keep going for as long as you and your partner are willing to go. Yes, this means hours if you both are so inclined.
