Did you need to get referred to the Implant Doctor by your GP or did you just go straight to the Implant Doctor? I've gone the Testosterone, pills, injections, VED route and ready for a REAL fix.
I had my insurance out of pocket almost met due to several medical situations early in the year, so I started thinking that I needed to fix what had been broken for the past 20 years. I researched my two issues, LUTS (Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms) and my ED/PD. Decided that UroLift was my answer to the prostate issues and an inflatable penile prosthesis was the answer to my ED/PD. I watched all of the videos of various surgeries including those that repaired Peyronie's plaques via degloving and grafting. The videos did not deter me in my resolve.
The next thing I did was to seek out a reputable local urologist who also did IPP implants. I first met my first-ever urologist in August 2019, in mid September 2019 I had UroLift after fighting my insurance through a couple of appeals. In late October 2019 I had an AMS 700 CX installed (insurance was a breeze this time).
The doctor agreed with each point I had about my issues. I scored quite high on the survey for LUTS so the UroLift was a slam-dunk after he did a flexible cystoscope and ultrasound to make sure I was a good candidate. The IPP was also a certain due to the Peyronie's plaque and deformities I had.
I don't recommend others to do like I did about deciding before discussing with a professional but in my case I understood my needs, the risks and what was involved in both, before I ever talked to a urologist about it.
