Medicare rate is around 17k.
My surgery was billed 87k. Aetna allowed 40k and refused to pay for my
Surgery. Denial on erectile dysfunction. I never complained about ED. I had PD. hospital codes wrong. Aetna gladly denied. Hospital is recoding and I am on 2nd appeal.

Even with the bill saying that $28,000 was paid doesn't mean a thing. Look for an asterisk or a footnote that usually says the an amount was paid that was accepted as paid in full. Many times the $28k was discounted even further. Best guess, which is all you'll ever get. Is that somewhere around the Medicare rate is what was really paid. The TRUE payments that the insurance companies pay is a closely guarded secret.

2019 Medicare Code and Payment https://www.bostonscientific.com/conten ... _FINAL.pdf Link also gives Codes. For those Brothers appealing Insurance denial.

Dr. gets $843 for Implant. ASC* Ambulatory Surgical Center (see below) Outpatient facility gets: Hospital Outpatient $16,320 Outpatient Center(private/corporate) $13,839

*An ASC is a distinct entity that operates exclusively to furnish outpatient surgical services to patients who need no hospitalization and for whom the expected duration of services is less than 24 hours following admission. Medicare ASC patients should not need active medical monitoring at midnight on the day of the procedure.

I'm not saying that's all a Doctor or Facility gets for an implant. Many different ways to "skin a Cat" to receive payment for services. Chart could explain why some Implant Docs don't take Medicare. Private Insurance pays more.
