help please

Postby needsomehope » Wed Feb 19, 2020 10:51 am

I've made some depressing posts in here. I'm trying to get some positive traction going. I'll need to get an implant, the sooner the better. I'd love to go through Dr. Eid. he seems like a real pro's pro.

I'm incredibly financially broke right now. my lifelong ED issues have left me insanely depressed and unable to do much with/in my life. trying to work on that as well.

how much does Eid charge? is there any way to get a discount with him? (think I saw something about using a different facility for a discounted price)

I've been considering crowd funding towards the cost of the surgery. swallowing my pride and posting it on my own Facebook and sharing it with friends. maybe try to be funny with it. "help me get a boner! donate 4 dick!"

I ran it by Paul and he okayed me posting that here if I went through with it. would any FT guys be willing to make small contributions or micro-loans?

I don't have insurance and, as I stated, I'm in financial ruin right now. I'm more then happy to work towards an implant as a goal, but I'm worried I might go literally insane or self-harm if I don't see sex coming anytime in my near future. 15 years is long enough. I'm about to turn 39. I really really need to be dating and getting laid as soon as possible.

as always, any advice or feedback would be much appreciated.

Look into a loan with Care Credit (through Synchrony Bank). It's medical a credit account.

15k for the hospital stay. Total of 30k$.

My insurance did not cover the hospital but did cover the rest of it. They sent me a invoice for 15k one month after my surgery. I called them and they were will to settle for 3.8k. So that reduced the total cost by 11k. Could you get a medical loan? Could your parents refinance their house? Could you charge any of this to a credit card? Could you get insurance? I pay for my own insurance and it costs me 400$ a month (I know expensive) but this allowed me to get insurance rather quickly without having to get it from a job. Some jobs give you insurance after one month of working for them. Could you get on disability? Disability often pays close to 1k$ a month and you could use that for paying for your own insurance. Also disability often comes with free health care. Research which insurance company is the best, some don’t insure implant, and some don’t let you pick your own doctor. I pay my own insurance and it’s blue cross + PPO and I was able to pick dr Eid. The fundraising you do could help compensate the procedure, I will for sure donate at least 20$ to you if you make a fundraiser. Definitely research the best way to get your fund raising page scene. I use imgur a lot and see a lot of fundraising there.

30K all in? woof, that's a lot of money. it'd be nice to have a working dick though. and if I'm depressed enough to off myself, it's worth throwing some $ at my problems.

thanks for the offer of 20 bucks and the feedback!

I know you want Dr. Eid. But $30K is $30K and there are other reputable surgeons where you might be able to get a better deal.

I had mine done in Austin, Tx. My insurance was billed about $59K and paid about $17K, which was accepted as payment in full.

The transparency in medical cost website for Austin states that the cash price for this procedure done in an outpatient surgery center runs between $17K and 18K.

I kind of see it this way. You don’t have a car. You want a Cadillac. You can get one, except it willl cost you $62K. You could get the same car, basically, with a Chevrolet nameplate on it for $45K. And buying the Chevrolet now doesn’t mean that when it’s time to trade it in you can’t opt for the Cadillac.

I’m not suggesting or advocating you fly to Russia or Burkina Faso and have this done for $800. But there are other competent U.S.A based surgeons where you could get a really good job done, sooner rather than later.....and do it for a more affordable price.

My implant was done with Medicare, but the total amount paid to Dr Eid & hospital was about $20k. If he accepts $20k with Medicare you should be able to negotiate a cash price of that or less. A patient with good private insurance could very well be charged considerably more.

There's also a thread here on costs with Dr Eid: https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=9894

You seem as if you are in dire need but haven't explained your situation with your ED. Well you seem desperate but you have to consider other options. check every angle possible and i hope that you can resolve your situation. Going on Facebook may be extreme and there are other sites where you can possibly get $$$$ for your "project". However, what will the people get from it?

Dr Eid is a high volume dr and knows his business. He also will listen and has a heart. Perhaps a good consultation with him will draw him in to your plight.

Anyway, wish you the best of luck. ED sucks!

I hear that Dr Eid does have a cash discount. I’m not sure what it is. You can check with MagicMike here on FT.
