Open to ideas on rewording title, but for now...
How many guys on here actually have an implant (3-piece) that is on the upper side of the life span advertised? Life span being upper side closest to 15 years.
Not to include malleables because their warranty is lifetime, except Tactra.
I have read of revisions on here, how long between revisions?
BTW, I am starting this because I am going for my 2nd surgery after infection (3rd overall in a little over 6 months)

I've had mine nearly 13 years. But that probably doesn't count because I've never used it. Anyway, it still inflates and deflates just fine.

Dg, actually, if you can still pump it, then it counts! 'Using' it is circumstantial. Nowhere in the advertising that it talks about usage affecting lifespan.

Sure, nowhere in the advertising. But in the medical literature, there is acknowledgement of frequency of use affecting the service life.
Unfortunately, I have not found studies that attempt to analyze/relate service life of the implant to frequency of use or total number of cycles, degree of inflation in those cycles, length of time remaining inflated or number of strokes delivered to one's partners. (Pretty difficult to measure that last one!!!)

I had mine (CX) for 12 years. It wore out and was replaced by an LGX six years ago.

LS, so these studies say I cannot be a fuck machine without affecting the 3-piece lifespan? WTF, they advertise a 15 year lifespan ONLY if you don't use it? Harsh.

No. Those studies simply are silent on the matter or the studies do not exist..

My LGX wore out after only 4.5 years (used it 1-2 times per month) . My CX has been working okay for about 3 years (so far).

How in the world would a guy be honest when asked how much he uses it??
