Activating early.

Well can’t wait for Friday. Found the release tabs last week. Tried a few squeezes on the pump. I don’t know how many is too many but it did start to inflate. No pain. Stop when it was getting really stiff. I am leaning to the left but not the PD bend up. There was expansion in girth. I could actually screw with this 59 yo retrofitted penis. Well deflated and could feel the fluid move thru the cyclinders. My 5.5 week perma erection is looking more like a flaccid penis after deflation. Wow, I am breaking the rules. So how many pumps is done at activation? Does the titan pump remain hard or does it get more soft? Ok well I went out on a limb. Went out of the box for 15 mins. How many guys activated prior to your 6 week appointment ? I was never one for following the rules. I can say after my little experiment it feels less painful. Are the pumps small little squeezes or deep squeezes ?

Thanks
Mike.

And I am off for the next week. Think about the possibilities.

I had 2 week activation but self-activated on day 7. Didn't use for vaginal penetration until week 6 but did break rules and used a stroker, got an edema on the left side that I used elastic athletic tape overnight to resolve.

Rules are there for a reason and your surgeon is in the best position to render a judgment over which rules are sacrosanct, bendable or breakable. He say your incisions (from the inside) and was in the position to observe if weakening of your tissues might make early activiation/cycling/use might be dangerous or even completely sabotage the surgery. So, discuss whatever you do.

With that caveat, I note this article referring to the differences that early activation (EA) vs no early activation (NEA) of the inflatable prosthesis
Title" Pseudo-capsule “coffin” effect: How to prevent penile retraction after implant of three-piece inflatable prosthesis

Short Summary: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25017596
Longer summary: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25017596
with this sentence: "The result is a penis bigger in flaccid state but smaller in erect phase, when early activation is not performed"

This article was obviously translated from the original Italian, so there may be some grammar issues to overlook.

And this thread might be of interest: "Over what timespan does Scar Tissue form post-op? (And can it be reversed)?"

I am 3 days out. If anything it made the stiff not flaccid penis a tad more comfortable I don’t think I broke anything. If Eid has his pt cycling at day 4. I feel fine at day36.

LS, cannot pull up the links. But Dr. Eid in NY activates early to prevent scar tissue from forming around the reservoir and causing problems down the road. This sounds reasonable, as I have read (remembered) 2 instances on FT about pumping issues that need revision.
Walking around for 2-3 weeks inflated seems a bit harsh to me, and not looking forward to my revision on this part.
Thoughts (got nothing else)?

I activated on my own one week before appt. The surgeon seemed unsurprised and unconcerned. It probably happens a lot. The pumps, for me, are deeper compressions for the first few and then more shallow as the pressure builds up. I use the double handed method, one index finger on top of the other and one thumb on the other.

I was pumping day 4. Today 4 weeks out length and girth are back pre op measurement. No pain ready for action

Not following the rules again. Inflated and deflated. No pain no 97 degree bend. It leans to the left. I also am 4 inches. Not a big boy by any means. I was 6 inches prior to PD. So I am inch longer today. If this is my penis going forward, then I am a success. Might have an issue with fat ass ladies. But who could resist a 4”’pecker that will stay hard indefinitely.

Biker60, if the bend bothers you, ask your doctor if you can use resistance or manual traction (bending) to correct it yourself. I took a couple of slight bends out 0 doing that
