14 weeks post - not there yet

Postby 544kenmatt » Sat Feb 08, 2020 8:30 am

Hi guys,
I just hit with 14 week mark with my AMS lgx 700 and I'm still a bit sore. I have tried penetration twice but the discomfort has forced me to stop. Wondering if this is unusual and if I need more healing time. I am able to cycle (at max inflation, it's still uncomfortable) but I do masturbate at maybe 75%. I do have some numbness on the underside, which I think has resolved a little but is definitely still there. Things are gradually improving but I read about guys having sex at 4 weeks and I think, why am I so far behind?

We are all different so it is difficult to compare one man's progress to another guy. The pain when you are cycling may be a good thing. It can indicate you are stretching the tissues to maximize your final penis size. You mentioned masturbating at 75% inflation. How about intercourse? My wife and I both found we prefer my implant to be around 75-80% for sex. It was painful for both of us for it to be fully inflated. For many guys I think it takes time for the inside of the glans to get used to the pressure from the cylinders.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Hey, I’m a week and a half ahead of you… here’s my observation, so far… The first three or four times hurt a lot! That was at week five? honestly, it was getting my body used to it… I don’t think it was the situation where one day it just stopped hurting… it just got better, I guess… i’m curious as to where people are with getting size back at this point… Mine has not fully recovered… Honestly, I’m missing almost an inch of visible erection compared to Viagra “Weak erection“… I think a lot of it is the cylinder issue that I’m going to be discussing with Dr. Kramer very soon…. How are you feeling when you cycle? Is there a lot of pain? have you tried being on top? have you tried really taking your time? I wish you nothing but the best, my friend!
Implanted October 2019 Dr. Kramer lgx 18 cm +2 rear tips. Preop at 6.75 post op 5.25... awaiting revision… Implanted for possibility of having our first child.

Thanks for your reply. I am definitely shorter and thinner than before. When I inflate to the max then press down on the skin around the penis, it seems like there is the lost inch I'm looking for. Does that make any sense? I also think that it feels artificial when fully inflated. it is still painful to push

Ken, I got my implant 3 days before you (10/28), I'm at day 104 and I went in with a VED drawn 5" and after the doctor installed only a 15 cm CX with no RTEs (5.9"), today I measured 15 cm from the pubic bone to the tip of my glans, inflated but no glans engorgement. That means I measured myself at around 5.9-6.0" today when I was 5" before surgery, 104 days ago.

Of course I'm still about 1" shy of where I was 24 years ago in 1996 (at 7"). Since I've maxed out the short 15 cm cylinders now, I figure I will have to wait until I need a revision in the next few years before I will get the remaining inch back from further cycle stretching.

As to artificial feel, mine feels that way at 100% but at 85-90% it has about the right flex to feel quite natural. If you still feel pain when cycling and/or penetration, you probably still have a lot of length left to gain from cycling. If you are missing only 1" then I think with a little patience you will see that and possibly a more by just continuing to cycle regularly.

Thanks, that's encouraging to hear. I know I'm being impatient. I'm remembering the fatty I would get with trimix but forgetting the lack of sensitivity and the aching cock afterwards. But it still felt more natural than this. And my sex life has ground to a halt. That might be part of my regret right now and I know regret is a big waste of time! I need to relax and make it work.

So far behind? 14 weeks? Hear: I am now 5 months and 2 days post implant. My first attempt to penetrate my partner was at 3 months mark (a little before than you), but the pain was so terrible I had to stop after a minute, though I tried to hold all I could.

Next time I tried, was at 18 weeks. This time I could have sex for 20/25 minutes without pain, just a little disconfort. Not pumped at max because at max it hurts (still does), so the size I got was not enough to satisfy my wife. After that, next morning I woke up with a terrible pain in my shaft. I was to be under pain pills for 3 days.

Now, at 5 months after surgery, I still have pain when inflated to max. In fact, I cannot inflate to max, when pain becomes unbearable I feel is there room for more liquid into the cylinders. And since two or three weeks ago, I can have sex inflating below the point of pain, and no pain day after, but still not enough size to my wife's orgasm.

You are not so far behind.

Thank you and I appreciate you sharing your experience. At this point, not sure if I would have done this but I may feel differently after a year. At least I have porn and masturbation, which is still pretty good.

I guess I would like to let guys who are considering this know that it may not be six weeks but six MONTHS before you are ready to get back into the saddle....or maybe even longer. I suppose if surgeons told us this, very few of us would do it. And of course, everyone is different, so it would be impossible for a surgeon to predict.

I am begining to assume that you are right. I know several people who has gone to this surgery, and at the 6 weeks mark, none of them was ready for sex. Most of them was not even ready for cycling.

I am pretty sure that this is not a binary question. Is not 'today I can't have sex, tomorrow I am a beast of sex'. Is more a gradual process which goes from a very painful experience first time to a completely free of unconfort experience some day in the process. A process that I don't think last less than 1 year in most cases.
