Actual pertinent question titan vs lgx

Postby SW0110 » Sun Feb 02, 2020 9:06 pm

Looking at revision. Reasons do not really matter.

Had a titan put in march 2019. Jan 2020 does not work after hernia surgery.

Very straight and hard dick. Peyronies, hourglass, shrinkage, etc. Day before surgery I was just under 6.75 inches. Close to my pre ed 7. Pumped up for one hour solid.

A couple days after surgery. Pumped up, soft bulb. No hard dick.

Visited a new urologist local who has been taking care of me for low t. Says he has been doing more implants and averaging about about 3 a month. Would put me back in with full revision of an lgx, probably 20 cm. Course this is 18 cm plus 2 rte.

Original surgeon is just going to see where leak is and fix it leaving original cylinders slone. 18 plus 1 rte.

I am worried if I replace titan with lgx and peyronies is still there, lgx will not correct. I told him period no cx.

My dilemma is I do not want the damn peyronies soft dick back.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

Hmmm...never heard on here that an implant WILL NOT fix Peyronies, mainly because it has to. When you pump, you straighten out the dick, but mainly Peyronies if fixed during surgery does not come back. Then again, I may have missed the boat on this one. I think this is what you are alluding to and you are just scared of the outcome...BREATHE!!!

If the curvature is too severe, or the hourglassing too narrow, then yes the Titan might be indicated due to the greater axial rigidity. You can actually search this online.

Re-read my response in thread. You may also ask the Dr., straight up, about your past PD (if it will come back, etc...). When you 1st had your surgery, medically, the Dr. had to put in your file that you had PD, hence the surgery. If this is the same clinic/hospital you have been going to, even though Dr. is new, he will have this information. Most guys on here say go for a Dr. on volume for doing an implant. I did not, was fucked up, and going on my 3rd replacement. in less than a year.
Everyone has to start somewhere, so if you are going with this Dr. ASK questions and bring up concerns.
You may also want to speak to the reps, respectively, of what to expect from their product. Good luck.

Totally missed it. March 2019 got a titan. Fixed my curved dick.

It is not working now so I can either get it fixed with my original doc. He is just going to fix leak and replace pump or reservoir or both and leave cylinders alone.

New doc says it should all be replaced but wants to do an lgx since the titan has been in almost a year.

I am not sure the lgx will keep peyronies from showing back up like the titan did.

Anyone out there with an lgx for peyronies and was it successful.

I had mild PD. 15 degree bend at midship to the right. Doc used an LGX but kept me pumped 80-90% for 4 weeks. Straight as an arrow. I also had a hernia surgery 5 months after IPP. I told the new surgeon to go over to the urology dept, (same hospital) to get a consult and be damn sure she didn't knick anything.

I suspect PD wouldn't return once cleared

Doctors actually say otherwise, but it depends on the situation. You can't just make statements like that.

I beg to differ on one point. You CAN make statements like that. A disservice to one's readers to not back it up with evidence, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You know what they say about opinions and assholes. Everyone has one.

I went with AMS LGX for a number of reasons, but recognize that Titan would have been better IN SOME FEATURES than the AMS device. Just as the AMS has SOME features superior to the Coloplast product.

So, my opinion of zandro's comment is affirmative. Depends on the specifics and what is important to the patient. Some member posting here lately have removed a perfectly (erectilly) functional inflatable for a malleable because his profession demanded that no pump or tubing be visible. (Pornographic movie actor). So, not just the medical specifics of the situation govern the choice.

Here's a blanket statement to consider: "Blanket statements are always inadvisable." :D
