I have noticed a few post that say that they had a scrotoplasty performed only because they asked for it
Is that a procedure that is included with a penile implant or is that an extra cosmetic procedure that will be charged beyond the normal billing of a penile implant? Because I'm pretty sure that a scrotoplasty performed by itself is about $5,000 out of pocket because insurance will not cover it
Is scrotoplasty included with a penile implant?

Re: Is scrotoplasty included with a penile implant?
Common sense tells me (dangerous to follow logic when it comes to medical billing) scrotoplasty (among many other penile/scrotum/testicle procedures) unnecessary to do the implant, I would not expect to be included.
However, since much of the prep for a scrotoplasty is already done for the implant (Operating room, anesthesiologist, prep, etc) I would expect the difference between both procedures would be less than the scrotoplasty done by itself.
I had a vasectomy tossed in almost as an afterthought (on the unlikely chance that this old guy might have the chance to have sex with a woman young enough to get pregnant).

Difference being that vasectomies are usually covered by most insurance policies.

I did have Scrotoplasty done during my implant surgery.,my surgeon would have used the Infra Pubic method, but said if he used the PenoScrotal method he would include it as part of the surgery so we went with that. I am very happy I had it done.
My incision went a couple inches onto the underside of my shaft and about an inch and a half down my sac so it was longer than it would have been ,but it all healed and can't tell ever had the scrotal webbing.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Oddly we never discussed it, he just trimmed it off. Fine by me, though did take some getting used to after 45 years of having it.

2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.
