Implant Surgery My Journey

Day Ten

Well guys time keeps on ticking and things keep getting better with age! This is day 10 for me after having implant surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville,Tennessee on January 9, 2020. I woke up this morning again feeling very big in my scrotum. Finally got up and took a look and as I suspected my testicles were swollen at least twice there size. Came downstairs and filled up my ice pack and quickly got some coffee and got on ice. My bruising and swelling elsewhere really is looking good. My bruising is now on one side of my penis and one side of my scrotum. I am still very bruised from the back of my scrotum toward my anus. The only way I could have seen that ugly site was when I started to take a shower yesterday i got stand up mirror and really took a good look at what my butt really looked like. I have come a long way. I cannot stress enough what icing your swollen and bruised area and how much using ice will help you heal much more quickly. Took my two Tylenol as soon as i got up. I wasn't hurting but I took it anyway for the what if pain. I've lived with a nurse long enough to know that doing what you can to prevent and get ahead of pain is much better and easier than trying to get it under control after you already have throbbing pain! Looks like my incision has closed and is healing nicely. Also, my drain hole appears to be closed and healing nicely. Taking a long good hot shower is the highlight of my day. That's it for now guys. Have a great day!

Hey Note

Seems like you have everything under control...Well thanks to the guidance of your nurse. Icing sure does help the sac to come back to its natural size. We're rooting for you!

Best
