Hey Guys... just wondering if us newly implanted guys with the catheter just removed should be sleeping with the jock strap still on to keep it facing the belly button or can we go commando and just let it go free? Is their a reason to still keep it facing up towards the belly button?

I haven’t got an implant yet, I did ask dr eid that question, he told me until

You should have been told to you need to keep you dick pointed to your belly button for a day. If you had your catheter out today, use for one more night, then let it hang tomorrow.
Sleep with feet up on pillows, three pillows high.

Most info I have heard about the "UP TO BELLY" has been in reference to the first couple of days if I'm not mistaken. Some here have even said it was only for the first day after surgery.

As long as you're not inflated, let your body tell you what to do. If you find pain when sleeping a certain way, don't do it again until it feels better. I had to sleep on my side for a week or so because of pain at the base. I also experimented with dressing right and left. Sometimes right felt better because it put tension on the left side that was a pleasant relief. Other times and ultimately I dressed left. Now I can sleep in my 2 Pouch briefs, commando or even (shhh) an adult diaper, if I want to. I even went 63 hours with a Foley catheter and BellyBag on (for a self-challenge, not for medical reasons) which means I slept two nights wearing it.

If it hurts to sleep in a certain position or state of dress/undress, try a different position or attire for now and come back to the painful situation later.

Thanks for the responses guys. I think I will sleep with it supported up for one more night and talk to Eid. I have always slept commando as it feels best plus I like the idea of just rolling over and giving it a few pumps and surprising my wife with it... when the time comes of course. Way to early for that!

My doc was a great implanter but a terrible communicator.
I was given no post-op instructions at all.
I did find it impossible to sleep in bed and slept several days sleeping in a recliner.
I think junior just hung free.
