After Surgery, Do you always feel the presence of the tubeS?

My surgery to implant an AMS 700 LGX is next week. This is my question: After the surgery, will I feel the presence of the tubes in the shaft, even when the penis is not inflated? If so, does that eventually go away? I have assumed that I will always feel the tubes when they are inflated. Is that a correct assumption?

When deflated, I feel mine and the hard tips also.

Not in the shaft per se but possibly at the base, where the penis meets the groin they may be detectable. It depends on a lot of factors: infra-pubic vs penoscrotal, corporotomies (incisions in the corpora cavernosa) being more proximal vs. distal (further inside rather than closer to the surface).
The doctor should do everything within their ability to give the patient the best experience. Depending on the doctor's skill level (what is their implantation volume), the patient's experience may vary.

If you mean do I feel something implanted in my penis when I’m just walking around during the day? No, I don’t. If you mean can I feel the implant when I squeeze my penis, the answer is “kind of.” If I squeeze and try to feel the implanted tubes, I can feel that my flaccid penis is harder than it was before surgery, but it actually feels surprisingly natural. Also, when inflated it also feels surprisingly natural, although it is harder than my natural erection was. I have an AMS 700 LGX. A Titan might feel different. ...And it probably has a lot to with the skill of the surgeon and the size/shape of your penis.

I am nine weeks post op and I do feel the cylinders both deflated and inflated. Am I conscious of them during my daily activities? Not really. My flaccid state is larger than before, so I do feel more fullness. Right now, things feel a bit "artificial" when inflated, almost too rigid and unnatural. I am assuming this will normalize as the months go on or at least, I hope so. I am not seeing much glans engorgement unless I am truly stimulated. I guess there is nothing like a natural erection but we make the best of our implants.
I am realizing that this can be a long process.
