Can anyone recommend a surgeon who does a lot of penile implant surgeries? I live in southern California but would travel if people recommend doing so to get a better surgeon. I keep reading that a high volume surgeon is important, but can't find names of who those surgeons are. Thanks.

Jerry

Just had mine done Thursday by Dr Jonathan Warner 626-218-9500 of City of Hope in Glendora. Still recovering but so far so good was referred to him by a guy I met on Facebook who he had successfully implanted. Everyone I’ve talked to recommended him highly and he is a very nice guy. Don’t know his exact volume but he does a good amount of them.

Dr Stuart Boyd and Dr Lo Doyle at USC Keck did mine. USC Keck is a world class hospital. I have had 3 major surgeries there and the staff is amazing. Dr Boyd, just retired after 30 years of doing implants. Dr Lo Doyle is on track to do 200 a year. Dr Lo Doyle said Dr Boyd will do an implant if you insist on the master as he is still on the staff at Keck. I would trust Dr Lo Doyle. I asked about Dr Warner and how many he does and could not get a clear answer. So I went looking. Called Dr Karpman in Livermore and he referred me to Dr Boyd. I was not happy with my previous prostatectomy at City of Hope. That surgeon removed ALL my nerves after telling me I may need to us Cialis.

I think that Dr Karpman in Mountain View (northern California----easy airport access from san jose airport or SFO) is a world class implant surgeon; and he is my current urologist (since I live near San Francisco). He appears to me to be super expert.

If you must stay in southern california, I am not sure and I do not know anyone there personally. I notice that Dr Eugene Rhee At Kaiser San Diego was a co-author on a major penile implant multi-center paper back in 2015.

That is probably Dr Goldstein at San Diego urological. He is very good. So good that he doesn't accept Medicare. He and Dr Boyd shared several research papers.

Going to see Doctor Goldstein later this month for a new Shockwave therapy for ED. This is a different shock wave then the one offered at Gainswave. Goldstein office explains that it is a totally different shock wave that is FDA approved but used mostly in Germany and other parts of Europe. We shall see if it works

Dr. Rhee of Kaiser did my implant 6/26/18, no problems at all, same length and girth as I have always had. Love my implant. If you have ANY questions please PM me, happy to answer anything you may ask.
