My doctor have me specific instructions based on my specific situation. Not related to pumping which he did starting at 2 weeks but at the no sex stipulation which he said that in *MY* case specifically, he wanted me to abstain for six full weeks due to amount of PD scarring he had to remodel.

Every patient is different.

It is so true that every patient is different and every doctor and their instructions slightly vary as well. Just like how some docs swear by Infrapubic approach, others do for scrotal incision approach. As long as we follow Dr Instructions closely if the doc is a high volume implant doc and has good repute, we should go with what they say.

I had mine done by Dr.Eid and i am on Day 5 post op. I do have pain and general soreness, but it is to be expected and i have stuck to motrin twice a day and am starting to feel better day 5 already. I was able to drive for the first time today and am able to do household chores. But, take it easy.

Dr.Eid asks us to take 3 hot baths a day starting Day 3 and also start cycling. Day 3 was painful. I backed off yesterday and today was a lot better. But, we all will be just thinking of these recovery days in the past soon enjoying our best christmas gift ever. Merry Christmas everyone.

My pic 70% inflated today, Day 5 post op and i have 20 cm so approx 5.6 inches max and am close to that. I was always an average length guy but compensate for it with my girth and my wife and i were follong around with nothing serious this am already. Cant wait.

66 y old. Dr. Eid my choice as a world class surgeon. Implanted coloplast titan on 01/09/2020 after trying everything. Viagra worked very well, with the usual side effects, for 10 years. Past 7 years proved to be a disaster.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I'll phone the hospital in the morning and ask. From hearing of other doctors etc. and given how well recovery is going (already heading on nights out / hiking a little) I think (unless the hospital says otherwise) try my first pump tomorrow.

And if I do it will be very much cautious. I've already been instructed on how to inflate / deflate and have done so myself in the presence of one of the doctors so there's no issue in performing it.

I very much want to preserve length etc. I'll see what they say / potentially how it goes!

Hi,

After my surgery I was left about 10% inflated, my doctor waited 8 weeks to “activate” the implant, since that day I have been pumping the implant to the max i can tolerate and so far I have gained back most of my lenght and girth.

As this is a marathon and not a sprint the key world is always patience, you do not want to damage something and risk a complication that may bring you back to the operating room.

Follow your doctors advice, after sometime and lots of dedication you will be OK.
