I would not even give this a thought! For me I know would not want to have to walk to the bathroom much less have a family gathering. Some of my family don't know when to go home! lol

Exceedingly ill-advised. Seriously.

My implant surgery went smoothly and I had absolutely minimal pain...but my sac was swollen and very uncomfortable and my mummified wrapped dick was pointing aggressively outward at 3 o'clock like a fucking airborne javelin. I couldn't really even get loose boxers on. You're going to feel like you're pissing shards of broken glass for 2 days. You may have a drain in your abdomen or sac for the first 24+ hours, that'll be clipped to your hip collecting the most vile, frightening bloody mess you can imagine. Being on my feet vertical for more than 15-20 minutes was immediately swelling and painful to my sac and dick and the opposite of what my surgeon stipulated.

I don't know about your family, man, and they may be different than mine, but I'm struggling mightily to understand how you would even remotely consider being around other people? I used the "hernia" story, too, but found that didn't really adequately obscure the unmistakable fact that my dick had been very very involved in something....

But what do you guys think? Do-able? Ridiculously bad idea? Somewhere in between?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Ridiculously bad idea.
I cancelled christmas even though that was nine days after my surgery.
You will not be able to hide it. Not the pain, and most definitely not your dick which will point straight out.
Forget it.

I appreciate the clear advice - thanks guys. I have politely declined the invitation to dinner on the 24th due to my"hernia repair surgery" on the prior day.

Thanks.

I am in a similar situation. I am will be implanted Tuesday DEC 17th. Then going to visit family for a week about 5 days later. They know I am having a "hernia" operation. I am hoping by day 5 I will be ok to move around without too much issue.

We shall see!!!!

Good luck with that :!: The thing that's the "hardest" is the process of sitting down. In a straight chair, like at the diner table, I had to sit on the edge with my junk hanging over the edge. Any pressure hurt like hell. Once I was in a recliner it was great but getting in and out was a process to avoid any pressure on my sack. Your going to walk funny too
Good luck and I hope you can have some enjoyment from being with friends and family.
Merry Christmas, Andy

Every surgeon seems to have a different protocol so you should check with yours to see what he wants you to do.

In my case I was asked to stay on my back as much as possible for three days, with the exception of getting up three times a day to move around for 15 minutes and I would get up to go to the bathroom.

Also those first days are critical for using ice bags to keep swelling at a minimum. Swelling can cause pain so you do want to ice and prevent the pain as much as possible.

There is also the matter of the bulge. Depending on how big your penis is, the bulge can be very pronounced. That is not typically a “family friendly” sight.

I was fortunate not to have pain afterwards, but it was extremely awkward to get up and down. Even though I felt OK, I really was happy to stay at home and just be quiet for the first several days.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
