yes, I can feel the tubing when flaccid . this, I am told , is normal and is my "new" flaccid. I am not aware of the reservoir or transfer of fluid to or from the reservoir. The reservoir was my primary concern as I have had multiple abdominal surgeries in the past. I am pleased that placement of the reservoir has been no problem at all.

Cool, I wonder though about the OP?

One quick question:

Does Dr Kramer give you local or general anaesthesia?

I don't think there is anyone out there doing implants on just local. They talk about lidocaine and other local anesthesia in the videos and even sometimes spinal blocks but that isn't for the patient's immediate benefit. Locals and spinals reduce the chance of autonomic reflex when cutting into tissues. Pain signals don't have to make it to the brain and back to the muscles to cause a response. The pain reflex causes an immediate reflex, jerk, flinch etc.

Also, the penis relaxes when on spinal anesthesia so it's not trying to retract into the body, making it easier to get a proper measurement and complete the procedure without difficulties associated with penile retraction.

So NO, at the very least the anesthesiologist would give you something to make you sleep, a sedative. I think in most cases they use what they did on me, endotracheal anesthesia (gas). They also administered something by IV which could have been Propofal or a sedative.

Thanks, you are way too generous on responsiveness, wish you all the best.

Is Dr. Kramer no longer posting his videos? Nothing posted in over a month. Was waiting for mine to show up in the list from early June, but was never posted.

8-month update

It’s been about eight months since my implant on Dec 2, 2019. I’ve been silent on this forum for the last few months. Time for an update.

I am very happy with the results of my surgery. Everything works well. I have regained my original pre-surgery size. I have adjusted to the new normal, and I almost never notice my new equipment during my day-to-day life. I was surprised at how hard it is to pump, but I use a two-handed technique to handle that.

I was a grower before the surgery, and now I am a shower. That was an interesting change to adjust to. The adjustment was a relatively easy one, though. Too bad that gyms have been closed for most of the time since my surgery; I was looking forward to seeing how it felt to walk into the open shower at my gym with a larger package. Two practical changes I did make: I wear trousers with more room in the crotch, and I now wear David Archy underwear to make it easier to position my penis.

Sex is great. I am lucky that my partner’s father had an implant many years ago and was open about this with his daughters. So for us sex feels very natural and very sexy.

I do a lot of bicycling, and while I am careful how I sit on the bike seat, the implant is not a problem.

Yes, when I feel my penis and think about it, it does feel different. The cylinders make my flaccid penis harder than it was before surgery. When inflated it’s harder than it was before. So yes, different, but also better. Of course I can feel the pump in my testicles when I feel for it.
