I have just seen a message from Lost Sheep in other thread, that has made me think. I bring here in a new thread for discussion.

We all agree that for any man, a health and working dick is better than any other thing. The theme complicates when the dick stop working normally and only have erections for x minutes, with some level of hardness, and x times a week.

It is difficult to draw a line which clearly separate the point from what is better an implant. Without any doubt, a prothesis is much better than a limp dick. It is in the middle, between completely healthy dick and completely useless one. The edge is not clear.

But till now, it is OUR point of view. It would be interesting wear our partner's socks and think about it. For the partner, doesn't mind if a woman or a man.. what is better? I don't know how a gay man feels, but I do know how average woman think and feel about sex, at least, all women that I have sexually known. And I am not sure if is so clear for them that a fully functional dick is always better than a prothesys. I am not always been under ED, and in my best moments, I have get, only once in my life, have sex 7 times in a weekend. The woman who was my partner that time (I have achieved that only twice in my life, with one different woman each time, second is my current wife), got crazy about it. Very very happy. But two of them, would have been happier if I could be done more times. It is not something I suppose: both told me.

So this is the point. With a prothesis, the limit is in the partner, not in us. And for me, is much more important my partner satisfaction than mine. I could even take apart mine for satisfy her.

For our partners, I think that, even considering the totally working dick is better than a prothesis, I am not so sure that the premise is the same for a 10 minutes once a day working one, I guess they prefer the prothesis.

Huh i will get in the discussion here, altough non implanted man, i think that not all implanted man are the same, i think peoplw here are forgeting the mental part of sex, mental part of erectile dysfunction, for example i think the only disatvantage with implant would be to become as mentaly aroused as you can be with healthy penis, i think people who have delayed ejaculation with implants are those who are not aroused as much, more you aroused -more sensitive you are-you can cum easier-more you enjoy, some people can orgasam without touching their genitals, so if you can get maximaly aroused (mental) with implant as you can be with blood filled dick only pumping it up would be disadvantage in my opinion, sex and plesure from sex comes from ones brain, genitals are just the tool, this arousal part is what makes sex plesurable becouse after all you can have blood filled priapsm erection and you would not enjoy it.. just my 2 cents!

When I asked my urologist what I should except from my penis as a 35 year old man, he had a long winded response about how normal is wide ranging etc. But he said something at the end, almost as an add on, that "you should feel satisfied".

This, I think, is where the line is: the point at which sex does not bring you satisfaction.

I am easily satisfied with my own orgasm. That is purely physical.

Sex brings me no mental or emotional satisfaction, though, if my partner is not satisfied.

I am not so sure about that. After an operation, the nerves are traumatized, sometimes permanently damaged or changed. With such changes there may be changes to orgasm (and even the absence of the ability to orgasm) regardless of the man's mental state of arousal.

Every man is different, though some general conclusions apply to the majority of men (and I think your opinion is correct there), there will be exceptions ... maybe a large number of exceptions.

Up to a point, it is our partner that would be the limiting factor (because our implant can stay erect for an unlimited number of hours). But the implanted man will run out of energy some time...and some women seem to GAIN energy from orgasms.

My experience is that after I orgasm, while my erection remains as rigid as before orgasm, my energy level falls greatly and desire to continue humping/pumping/fucking/ whatever also falls off. At that point, I would rather cuddle and fall asleep.

(A bit off-topic, but important to us and maybe to readers here) The solution when my partner wants to continue sex and I am out of energy is to change to a position that requires less energy from me. (That position is with her on her back and me on my side (beneath her thighs) at a right angle (perpendicular) to her and my top-side leg between her legs. In this way my penis is positioned to enter her vagina and stay there whether I am relaxed or thrusting. Requires almost no energy from either of us. The two of us have even fallen asleep in this position.
