Post surgery questions

Postby Popa1965 » Fri Nov 29, 2019 10:35 pm

I’m 10 days post titan implant surgery I know that’s not long but when can I expect the pain in my scrotum to at least ease up. I have been trying to pull the bulb down like Doc said don’t seem to move at all. Any and all suggestions please.

I think we're in the same boat timing wise but not pain wise. I was implanted with a Titan Touch on 11/18/2019, first implant, scrotal incision, sent home with scrotal drain which was removed 24 hours later in office. I took some pain medication (Vicodin) erratically for the first 3 days or so. I found I didn't particularly need it so I just said to hell with it and stopped. I had what I would call soreness and a discomfort (no surprise, considering what he did down there) but very very little of what I would describe as frank "pain". Shockingly little. And what I had passed very quickly in the first couple days post-op. No bruising whatsoever except at the incision line itself and even that was minimal. I may be having something of an atypical experience, I'm not sure. Seems like, based on what I hear many others say here, that I am fortunate and having a pretty smooth clean recovery. I'm not inflated yet. My doctor's protocol is that this will occur at the 4 week follow up, so we'll see how that goes. But as of right now, almost 2 weeks out from surgery, I'm back at normal activity, sleeping fine, moving fine, no medications...like I said, I'm pretty dumbfounded by the relative ease of the recovery so far. For whatever it's worth. Good luck to you getting back to 100%!

keep working it down, with time it will be there. right now the scaring hasn't completed. by scarring i mean tissue healing, so by pulling down it will not allow it to "scar" at a high position in your sac.

FML,

3 days??? Damn! Talk about a fast healer.

EDIT:
My balls hurt and doing the salvage surgery (2nd surgery), so take what I say with a grain of salt.
1st surgery, I was out of work for about a week and a half. I really could not sit still or straight.
The bulb pulling is necessary to get things as low as possible in your nut sac to become your 3rd ball:). GENTLY pull it down, hold for about 5 sec, and repeat as often as you can.
*As long as you can move your pump freely, like your balls, you should be good to go* My pump is stuck to the skin, so I can move pump around like a clock, but it does not move like my balls.
I got an AMS, so can't help you much on the Titan, so good luck.

I had my implant on 10/28/19. Or 34 days ago, four weeks and six days ago (might as well say five weeks ago). I have almost no pain most of the time except some soreness and itching in and inside under the incision (penoscrotal). There is a little discomfort around the tubes where they come out of the corpora and a little achy pain after a while if I pump to max for too long. Really though, I'm amazed that I'm sitting here in a restaurant writing this response and I have absolutely no discomfort.

Interesting. Thanks so much for the explanation of the manipulation of the pump. I am going to call my Dr and ask about this, as it did not come up prior. Sounds valid. I've had other surgeries where the principle of moving and manipulating to avoid an internal adhesion...definitely something I've had recommended before in orthopedic surgeries and definitely something which has seemed to help in the long run.
