I am scheduled for surgery January 9th. I read a lot of post that say that they have lost length after surgery. From what my doctor has told me that he will inject me the day before surgery and whatever he measures it's what I will get. Has anyone had this problem with one of the high volume surgeons

Dr. Kramer is my 3rd Dr. and doing a salvage. We never did the pecker test like I did with the 1st Dr., so I am emailing him a pic of myself tomorrow. Pic is about 13 y/o, but he will the gist:) My problem is that after 3 months of just self luv, how much can I get back. He says that what I went in with is what I will come out with, and I will hold him to that, lol!

I have not had any problems and am back to my original (meaning pre-prostatectomy) length. :D

It had been so long since I had a full, throbbing hardon that my memory of my previous length was flawed. I immediately thought I used to be at least an inch longer. The loss of girth was immediately undeniable. I had the flat oval shape that's mentioned a lot on this forum. My wife told me she saw a difference but that my 6 inches was very adequate. The lost girth didn't bother her either. If anything, she said I was "wider" than before and she was ecstatic with the end result and has mentioned that point a few times at the seminars we speak at together for surgeons holding ED information and treatment events. The long and short of it (NO PUN INTENDED) is a totally usable hard dick, in whatever mathematical results you end up with, is immensely desirable over a hardon that disappears before either of you can get off. Accept your new normal and be happy with the capability that's been restored to you!

Dave I agree with your statement. I have plans on surgery from one of the top 2 surgeons mentioned on this site. I can still get a pretty good erection but since I have peyronies I have what's called the hinge effect. With a Cialis I measure right at 7 inches. It's a big step to take I'm struggling with my emotional state right now. I know that I have the right guy buy it mind boggling just knowing that u have to pump up every time that u need an erection. If I were married like u r this would be easy. This is starting to be a big distraction in my life I'm at my breaking point as far as going into depression. I am scheduled January 9th but today has been very tough for me.

I know it's been said a hundred times, but anything measured prior to surgery doesn't have any bearing on what length cylinders the doc puts in.
The measurement when you're on the table determines what cylinders and RTEs are put in.

I used a VED for stretching prior to surgery. And I did stretching like is on my AMS dvd prior to surgery also. Took my glans between my thumb and fingers and pulled out, to the sides, and up to my belly button and down to my feet. Ok not all the way to my feet but that direction. But I had lost length due to my ED. There was a paper on size lose and how to reduce it. It may be in the list in the post in the general section of this board. IIRC it said as little as 2-3 weeks can help but 2-3 months is best. Not sure how peyronies would do with this. Shots were never effective for me.

This topic is likely one of the most confusing to all of us, including many doctors. There are so many viewpoints that completely contradict each other. I am an example where I have a longer penis now than I did at my pre-op stretch test and even what the surgeon expected as I was on the operating table.

My lifelong penis size from about 16 to 50 was 5” flaccid and 6.5” erect. I lost length in my 50’s and I don’t know if it was just from aging or the result of long term ED. I lost more length following Prostatectomy surgery and then a bit more from Peyronies. The result was my stretch test was 4.5”.

While in surgery my surgeon said he scraped away plaque and my shaft became more flexible so he was able to use longer cylinders than he had presumed he would.

The first time I measured after getting the implant it was 4.5”. Since that time my impression is the penis goes through so much trauma during the surgery that it loses any elasticity until it is healed. Several weeks later it was 5” and as time passed and I began cycling it eventually got up to 5.5” unpumped and 6.5” pumped.

So, yes my penis grew from pre-surgery sizes. My flaccid has gone down to 2” at best before surgery, unless I massaged it to relax it and increase size temporarily. My erect size was 4.5” when I went in and now it is 2” longer. But my fully pumped length is simply what it always has been prior to various circumstances robbing some of the length.

So, I can claim I gained 2” of erect length, but I doubt that would have been the case had it not been there naturally most of my life. There are doctors, AMS reps, and patients who say the cycling process can lead to stretching the tissues and increase penis length slightly over time and others who say it can’t happen. As I said earlier, it is all very confusing.

Sounds like you had a great surgeon.
