Implant in 27 year old

Postby Barnowl » Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:41 am

Hi everyone
Here it goes but it is tough

I’m 27 , live in the uk and live a great life , loads of friends and I love sport! Now for the not so great bit.
I’ve suffered from E.D since my first girlfriend when I was 18 , over a 4 month period was the only time I had successful sex although it deteriorated drastically from the first time to the last time.
After we broke up I went to see my doctor , had blood tests done. Everything was fine and he put it down to performance anxiety , gave me some viagra and told me not to worry
But even from there on masturbating required constant stimulation and still dose and generally last only 2-3 minutes , I tried using the viagra but it didn’t make to much difference , so I just got on with life , kept myself busy with sport and friends
Every couple of years the Process would repeat , the docs would say I was fine and there was nothing that could be done , they would say it was just the way I am
And it’s been tough and recently I found this page which has given me the slightest bit of hope !!
I feel like an implant is my last chance , just last night I message’d dr Eid in New York
Any tips or suggestions would be really appreciated
How long dose the process take from initial contact to surgery ?

Thanks

There’s some guys who make the initial appointment, get in and have it within a week… i’m pretty sure there’s some who even get it done the next day if that works for them and the doctor… I contacted Kramer “the surgeon I chose“ one day before his office was going to be closed for a month to move LOL I had to wait that month. I had my initial appointment in a week and because of my schedule and wait another month about that anyway to get surgery. Goes quickly though if they feel you need it! Best of luck!

Hi Barnowl,

Welcome to Frank Talk brother, yes it is a great site to find information from men who experience ED. This site does not have a medical expert involved with responses only our experiences. The most important thing this site does is let you know you truly are not alone and you can discuss whatever is troubling you with ED, in a fashion that men just can't seem to discuss openly.

My first question is when you say doctor, was he a Urologist? Did they do an ultrasound to determine if you have leakage? Did the doctor try an injection to see if you could achieve an erection? Have you tried cock rings, pumps?

Going bionic from all I've read and discussed with others is a great solution, but first make sure all other avenues have been tried. I live in NY and recently met Dr Eid for a consultation, he is a first class guy and from all I've read a world class Doctor. The duration is a couple months from initial visit to surgery. If you decide to go this route and come to New York please let me know.

I wish you the best in your quest

In a lot of cases the progression of treatment is pills, VED, and injections before surgery. But in some cases if you have a doctor that does testing for leakage or other problems these steps may be skipped. Injections by pass the mental part of erections. Thus indicate a physical problem. I have read that Dr. Eid does an injection in his office prior to surgery. I do not know what bearing that would have if you have successful results. You would need to talk to Dr. Eid's office about that. And my understanding is the time from contact varies depending on how busy the doctor is. So again you would need to talk to the office about when he has available dates for surgery. I have read other posts on this site of a very good UK doctor who has a relationship with well known east coast implant doctor(s). I do not have the name of this doctor though. If you have trouble with your doctor assisting in this you might do a search or ask Dr. Eid's office for the information. Having a doctor close to you in case you need follow up care past your 3 day post op visit would be a plus in my opinion. I used a different East coast doctor for my implant and had to have a surgery certification done prior to my travel for the surgery. So I would ask about this as well. I had mine done through my regular general practice doctor and not my local urologist. This certification is only valid for a short period of time so mine had to be scheduled so that it could be completed and sent so that it did not expire before surgery. I do not know how this works for patients out of country. Again Dr. Eid's office would have that information and would be able to give you the answer's.

I hope this was of some help and good luck going forward with this.

Please understand that I know nothing about how the European medical system works. Although I should say that a cousin of my wife that lives near Rotterdam described their system to me once. Didn't sound that different to the USA system.
As I recall, you're in the UK. We have had several members that recieved implants in the UK. Try using the search function using UK or England as the searched words. That should get you to members that posted their experience. Just from memory, I think a Dr. Ralph was highly regarded.
Not trying to shuttle you off somewhere else. But I think a native UK member might use some words or phrases that will make the process clearer to you rather that words that an American might use.
Sometimes it is a slow process, sometime it goes fast. Just be patient & keep asking questions & be sure to fill in all papperwork correctly. Becoming friendly with some office staff people might really help you on the paperwork. Best of luck to you.

Hi silver daddy

In the uk you go and see your general doctor and then he refers you to a specialist but because everything is ‘fine with me ‘ he refused to do it and to be honest it’s so demoralising , I’ve straight up told him somethings wrong and he says it all looks fine to him . To a point I get it , our nhs is under a lot of stress! He likely figures why waste resources on a physically fit 27 year old when people in another room are dying
I’ve done medication , viagra etc to little effect , tried a cock ring but much the same and I haven’t tried injections and even if they worked I wouldn’t have an interest in them

I’m going to go this route unless I’m stopped by dr Eid , I just want the freedom and the weight off my shoulders
That sounds great would be nice to meet and do a bit of sight seeing , might aswell make the most of the trip

For sure I know there is a process and I kick myself for not sorting this sooner but I just didn’t have the courage but now my mind is made and I just want it done
I would say it was in my mind but even masturbating 99 times out of a hundred it’s tough , need constant stimulation and cum in <2 minutes
Even if it was in my mind how would you ever go from that to full sex for 20 minutes
Having an implant that needed to be replaced every 5 years wouldn’t bother me as long as it worked , it would be amazing just to go on a night out and know that if I wanted to have we’d with a girl that I could ! At this point what would be worse , I’m physically so far away from being able to have sex
If I was going to have surgery I would go to what I thought was the best surgeon , if it went wrong with him I’d have no regrets but if it went wrong with someone else I would kick myself !
Thanks for the info il make sure to ask !!

Thanks for the reply
Dr Eid seems highly recommended with low infection rate , I imagine the uk surgeon is great but dr Eid and dr Kramer seem to be the most talked about here and whilst it guarantees nothing it makes me feel reassured
Haha I can just about make sense of you guys , jokes
Now I’ve made my mind up I would like to just get it done
