Surgery in the next months (Spain)

Postby barrosa » Mon Oct 14, 2019 8:40 pm

Hi everyone :) ,

This is my first message on the forum.

It has been a miracle to be able to meet and read all the people who are or have suffered the same torture that I am suffering.

I am 32 and I have been erectile dysfunction all my life, with somewhat better or worse stages, treated with oral drugs that sometimes worked and sometimes only caused me a headache.

The next step was the injections but I refused. After reading the forum I have planned to have an implant in the coming months, possibly in January.

It would be helpful for this community to have some kind of polls like "What implant brand do you use?" "Are you satisfied?"

Reading so many comments sometimes reassures you and keeps you going forward and other times it scares you. Having polls would make reliable data available to everyone more quickly.

Well.. this message is only to greet you and I will keep you informed of my evolution.

By the way, I live in Spain in case any other member also lives here.

Greetings to all
32 years old. ED all of my life alleged by venous leak.

My advice from an internet stranger. There is not a perfect brand & model of an implant. Companies make different ones for very good reasons. Humans have a wide variety of shapes & sizes.
This is why the forum spends so much time talking about the surgeons. Yes, sometimes we even argue about things. I personally believe that the best strategy is to find a doctor that has several years experience doing implants. And, this is important, doesn't have a reputation for not sizing his patients correctly.
I honestly don't know how a man in Europe can get this kind of information. In the USA there is many ways to trade this information around. Frank Talk is probably the best place.
If you can read English? Spend a few weeks reading past threads. Only go back maybe 6-7 years. I don't know the exact year but new directions came out around then telling doctors to select the implant size differently. We generally call it "aggressive sizing". You don't want a surgeon that uses the old method. I doubt that a young man would be happy with the results.
Thanks for joining. I hope that you enjoy it here & learn a lot.

As honest as it might be, sometimes is extremely discouraging to hear comments about surgeon expertise. I mean, unfortunately one aspect of my fucked up life is the fact that I live in a country where top notch urologist with hundreds of implants per year under their belt is something you will never find out. So you either continue having a limp dick, or put your trust in the hands of a local urologist. No Eid, no Kramer for guys like me.

I guess that's just the harsh reality of my situation. I'm 30, I am supposed to be enjoying my life, fucking young gals, not dealing with all this shit. It's like there is no way out of this hole even with the will to deal with it. I honestly have felt suicidal lately over this.

And I agree with the poster, there are days you enter here and feel a little bit encouraged reading comments, and then others when you just feel more lost and leave more worried than before.

Going back to your very first post. You said that you tried shots & generic Viagra with no noticeable improvements.
If the health system in your native country is not very good. How can you be positive that you bought real medicines? You seem to say that you didn't have a prescription.
