New implant brand advertised on FT

Postby merrix » Wed Oct 02, 2019 8:13 pm

This is advertised here on FT.
Apparently a new implant brand.
Anyone has experience from it, or knows anything about it?

I I am requesting info right now… It would be great if it was concealable and had good girth “as advertised“ maybe I’m dreaming? I can always call the surgeon sometime this week and ask if he’s doing this yet… See if he knows anything… This could be the best of both worlds we’ve all been asking for? We shall see

Not really sure what they mean with concealable though. I think both Coloplast and Boston would say their implants are concealable as well. In what way will their implant be even more concealable? They do have a pump in the scrotum, actually on the front side of the testicles in their picture - which would make it less concealable than placing it behind the balls as mine is.
They also claim it is quickly inflated, which would imply a large pump - which again is less concealable than a small pump.
But still interesting.

Guys,
Rigicon is a company that has been in the global market. They are just entering the American Market. I will get more information for you as I learn more about it. Right now, they are only FDA cleared for malleable implants. This is a small percentage of the patients compared to IPPs. I do know they are working on getting FDA approval for their version of an IPP.

The link that merrix has kindly provided has 3 piece implant info. Apparently not available in the USA. Btw, it shows lengths but not diameters. As such, it seems to be a narrow offering at this time. Pun only slightly intended.

mallable implants

Postby notaes » Thu Oct 03, 2019 2:45 pm

Does anyone know under what circumstances would a surgeon implant malleable rods in any guy? I don’t know what I’m talking about because I don’t have an implant of any kind but I don’t think I would be happy with this type implant. I want one that I can pump up until I’m happy with the hardness. I don’t understand how a malleable implant could be satisfactory to a guy. I welcome your comments if you know anything about these implants. Would love to hear from guys who have these malleable implants.

I suppose if a guy has little use of his hands, a 1 piece might be desirable?

Prior abdominal surgeries might preclude placement of a reservoir (in which case the two-piece inflatable implant might be desirable unless its limitations are unacceptable).

As a "place-holder" between removal of a failed inflatable implant (mechanical/hydraulic failure, erosion, infection or other cause) and the replacement inflatable. To prevent tissue shrinkage.
