Is there a physical limit to how many revisions one could receive?

Hey everyone. Just a quick question. I've seen some people on the peyroniesforum claim that the max number of revisions one can or should receive is around four. I'm wondering if there's any evidence for this.

Being a very young guy myself about to have an implant done in a little under three weeks, I'm certainly concerned about the number of revisions I may have to go thru, and I think rightfully so. If I'm lucky and my implants last closer to twenty years, I could never need more than three or four, but even if my implant's last perhaps closer to the average of ten years or so, I may finding myself having four implants by the time I'm 60. And that says nothing for what if I have early or frequent malfunctions and need far more revisions in a short time.

I know that the risk of infection with revisions is higher, (Although infections don't mean your dick is gone, you can still be re-implanted) but Dr. Eid states that in very experienced hands the increased risk of infections is incredibly small. Is there something about revisions that puts some sort of permanent effect on the penis that would limit revisions to four? Is there some sort of accumulating damage done to the penis that adds up and eventually prevents more revisions?

Let's say we had a man who we knew was going to live for 200 years following his first implant. Is there any reason this man couldn't have as many revisions as needed for the rest of his life, provided that he continued to choose top penile implant specialists for all those revisions?

I still plan on moving ahead with this decision, I have pretty severe ED currently, pills and injections do not work, and I've never been able to have a satisfying sexual encounter, so if I had to choose between complete ED now and complete ED when I'm sixty, you know I'm choosing complete ED when I'm 60. I'm just very hopeful that it would never have to come to that and I could keep getting revisions as needed.

Formation of scar tissue is one of the problems.
It is difficult to perform surgery in a „scarred spot.“

As previously discussed (Lost Sheep might remember) having to undergo let s say 6 revisions means you will have a 1/3 to 1/2 probability of experiencing infection at one of these 6 revisions (statistically speaking) depending on what the risk of infection is with a revision (somewhere between 5 to 10 per cent).

Eid says it is at least possible to get 5 revisions with an experienced surgeon. ( did not ask for more, that s what I calculate with.

Being 25 rn I hope for having the possibility of having an implant till 65. that s enough and an age where Incould live with impotence...

I think that's why you should be careful with injections i.g. scars due injections.

My understanding is that the infection rate of an implant is less than 1% -- which is amazing, doctors in other fields have said. :)

If you are young like the original post, I would say there is no problem with having several implant surgeries done. The danger is for men over seventy, and it is not the implant that is the danger, it is the anesthesia that is dangerous. It takes longer to clear it out of your lungs, and system. Many older people become delusional and confused after surgeries of any kind because of the anesthesia.
