Congratulations on the insurance win! Crazy to me that we have to fight at all with them about this treatment ...
I am scheduled for my implant Dec 23rd - so I should be only a couple weeks behind you. I have been planning this for so long, I am very excited to get on with it ...
Best of luck to is both!

Re: My surgery is Scheduled!
Sorry you have to go through this. In the grand scheme of life it is a minor thing you will get past. The first time I was diagnosed with cancer I was told it was an aggressive form and I should schedule surgery ASAP. Due to coordinating the surgeons, anesthesiologist, operating room, etc. it was about a 6 week wait. I went from pre-op and was given the wrong instructions for what to do the days leading up to surgery. I showed up and was asked a few questions and then told I did something wrong and they would not be able to operate that day. It was another month of waiting, but finally got it done. Until you brought up your situation I had forgotten about the wait, but every day of the wait I was nervous and eager to move on. Best wishes.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

In Canada we never have to worry if something is going to be covered.
Funny how Americans are so worried about Social systems, calling them Socialism! Yet their military, roads, schools are social systems. What Americans should be more afraid of is having a Dictator as president.
To the original poster: congratulations on successful operation and best wishes for continued speedy recovery
Last week I had my every 6 month Urology follow up. We finally set a date - I go under the knife January 22nd. Please keep telling me it’s not that bad. Heck yeah I have very mixed feelings. I’m a bit jealous - you’ll be using yours about the time mine is swollen, achy, and interesting shades of purple. But it does concern me that I won’t ever have a real erection again, as fleeting and unsatisfactory as they are.
To complicate matters, a surgeon in Austin I wanted to use.....he was booked 3 months out. Well they had a cancellation for a consultation so I see him Thursday. By the end of the week I may have two surgeries scheduled.
To the poster whose quote I included: I’ll be more than happy to share my feelings on why the government doesn’t need to be so heavily involved in health care delivery but I do not want to turn this in to a politics board. Feel free to pm me if you want to talk about the subject.
Robust, adolescent 65 year old. Venous leakage forever. Used shots, shots+pills 30+ years. Married to same wife ~35 yrs. Implanted 31Dec2019 in Austin Tx. AMS 700 LGX 18 cm with 5 cm RTE.
Re: My surgery is Scheduled!
Here are a couple of shots from Day 2. One shows the cut they made, one shows the swelling and another shows the wrap I'm doing. Honestly, I have no pain at all inn the penis or balls. Maybe a tiny achy feeling. The drain actually hurts work lol. It comes out Thursday but is already draining much less than yesterday. Doctor said I'm pumped up about 20% I can see how I'm going to go to my doctor appoint Thursday without a huge bulge in my pants...
