Hello, ive been diagnosed with Peyronies and a wait and see approach from my urologist.

Im only 30 years old and have started to think about how this will develop during my life time.

Do you guys at the forum think that an implant will be the best solution to prevent further complications, penile shortening and so on?

Don't wait and see it will only get worse my original urologist had the same approach and My urologist now says no go get treatment right away at least that was my experience with PD I'm about to go get an implant possibly because I waited too long who knows?

You need to find a urologist who specializes in peyronies asap. The worst mistake I ever made was listen to my first urologist who said. Take vitamin e every day and we will see how things are going in 6 months.

I was so much more curved in 6 months. Then he mentioned traction. The an hourglass dent showed up. Over 2 years I lost an inch and a half. Waiting on peyronies to get better on it's own is a recipe for disaster.

Start traction now. Find a good doctor who knows what peyronies is and options.

The only real permanent treatment is an implant. It does fix it and no more worrying about the curve but that is something you have to be comfortable with.

An implant is actually the gold standard for the treatment of Peyronie's

Right now the curve isn't so bad but unless you are really lucky it's only going to get worse.

See attached link I'm not endorsing them it just showed up when I researching the condition on my own behalf.

Check to see if there is another Urologist that you can go to

I waited a year from the time I was told I had peyronies and getting an implant. I learned a lot and the guys here are here to help.

There is a study National Institutes of Health

Like many medical things. Peyronies can be progressive in nature. So it's hard to predict the future. It can get worse slowly & you might not notice until it gets bad. A specialist would be the guy to consult.
