Don't know what to think about my new implant.

Postby marlow13 » Sun Sep 08, 2019 10:36 am

I was implanted on Sept, 6 2019 so I'm about 2 days post op. I'm very sore and can feel some of the tubing/hardware running down the sides of my testicular sac. Will that go away once some of the swelling in down? Also I have 4 week follow up instead of 2. Will that make it harder for me pump and get my length and girth back because he's waiting for 4 weeks instead of 2? I guess I'm pumped at about 30-40% right now.

You'll always going to feel your tubing in your sac . I wouldn't worry about the 4 weeks to start cycling ,my cycling started at 4wks and after 5 months I'm nearly back to my pre-op size.
65 Periodic ED since 20's due to venous leakage. Pills stopped working . Implanted 3/2012 removed 6/2012 in a"WTF Moment" after several complications. Re-implanted 4/5/19 AMS 700CX

marlow13,
I was implanted on 6/18, and I couldn’t feel the tubing or pump until my swelling went down. Ice was my best friend for the swelling. Also when your surgeon says it’s okay, sitting in a hot bathtub helps soften the pump which for me felt like a hard rock. I didn’t start my pumping until 4 weeks, and I’m 3 months out now with most of my size back. Also, when your able, start pulling your pump down because as you heal the pump will try to rise up. In the shower is a good time, & each time after you urinate. That was my surgeons instructions. He also had me activate my pump twice a day for 30 minutes for at least 3 months. After that it would be up to me how often. Now at 3 months I find everything is a lot easier today. The 1st couple weeks I wasn’t sure I made the right decision, but today feel good that I had the implant. Good luck, & I wish you a speedy recovery. Bailey

I could feel the tubing from the start and still do 2 years later. I had show and tells with two guys before moving forward with my implant surgery and I could feel the tubing in one guy but not the other. The one I could not feel had very thick leathery feeling skin on on his scrotum and the other guy and my have very thin pliable skin there.

Since my surgery I did a show and tell for a guy with a Titan who wanted to compare it to my AMS700LGX. I could feel his tubing, also and his scrotum has softer skin like mine.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

My activation appt. was 4 weeks post op. I not only quickly got back to my pre-implant size, but also regained what I had lost from my Prostatectomy surgery, as well as shrinkage from long term E.D. I would not worry about that at all.

Agree, after 16 months and can feel the tubing even more - i guess all swelling goes and tubes more flexible.
