Excuses for being down post surgery.

I am planning my implant surgery in the next few months, just wonder if anyone had any creative reasons for being down after surgery. My clients and family members will drill me pretty hard (lol) because they will be worried that I am having a "Minor procedure". Any ideas?

My doctor suggested using the excuse of having a hernia repair whenever I felt I needed to explain why I was out of commission. It is the same area of the body and the recovery is similar.

I just said I'd had urological surgery. Nobody ever pressed me for details. If your friends are that intrusive maybe you need some new friends.

I used the hernia excuse. Most people won't ask anything more!

Lol...me and wife were just thinking about this very subject. I’m scheduled for my implant tomorrow. It’s mainly what do I tell my kids while I’m recovering at home.

Having some work done on my undercarriage.

The reply of the Scotsman when a young lady asked if it's true what Scotsmen don't wear under their kilts, "Give me your hand, lass."

Depending on your relationship with the questioner, perhaps a pointed query back to them, "WHY do you want to know?"

or, "It's just a simple procedure before undergoing my sex-change."

"Uh, it's PERSONAL."

"I understand and am grateful for your concern. I would rather not go into details, though, if you don't mind. Just knowing you are praying (or caring) for me is enough to make me feel better already."

"I WANT TO BE ABLE TO ________ normally again." (Choose your verb: Pee, urinate, fuck, etc)

To the kids, depending on their age, you might just tell the truth (in a manner appropriate to their ages and the current status of your relationship). They are, after all, family. Family can sometimes surprise you, if you give them the chance.

I just told my co-workers and supervisor it was male plumbing issues. It's amazing how that just stopped all questions.

I have told a few the real reason but I know they won't talk as I work at the hospital as well and HIPPA is very important to us.

I hope that in the future that I can be open enough to discuss my ED and implant with them. I may be able to help one or two with my experiences just like I benefited from this forum
