Post Op day 4 How am I doing ?

Postby edwardl007 » Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:11 am

Received my LGX implant from Dr. Kramer on Tuesday, 8/27/2019 so it is the 4th day now after surgery. I still feel I cannot leave my house and go walking any distance. Not experiencing any real pain now -some discomfit when trying to sit - but penis/balls area still feels so tender that I would rather not touch it yet.

How does my recovery so far compare with yours?

About the same.

On day 3 I started walking about a mile, very slowly. It hurt some, but I needed to get at least some exercise. By day 5, I was up to two miles, total. Steps were hard at first, stretching the groin that way hurt more.

My doctor allowed me to get into a hot bath on day 3, and that helped relieve a LOT. Check with your doctor, though, before trying it. My incision was on my abdomen, and sealed with surgical glue. He wouldn't have let me if the stitches and wound had been open to the air.

Good luck with your recovery, and let us know if you have other questions. Being naked a lot helps. :)

I think you are about where most guys are at that stage. My surgeon asked me to get up and walk several times a day and I do think that helped my recovery. It keeps you stronger and gets your new parts to acclimate to your body. It will get easier each day and before you know it you will be having fun with it.

Don’t rush things. Take it easy and do what you feel you can do. The swelling and bruising will slowly go away and you will moving around good in a couple of weeks.

Sounds like you doing well. Day 4 is when I started moving around a little more but not like Quincey. Listen to your doctor and enjoy the journey because there's a GIANT pot of gold at the end.

Day 4 for me was the turning point after that I started to have less pain and more like discomfort the days go by slowly it in two more weeks you will be thinking about using it. Just a tip when your sitting try taking two towels and rolling them up place in a V under your legs to take the pressure off the area where the surgery was

You're doing fine. I had a scrotal incision from Dr. Eid, who sealed it with stitches and glue, and he recommended hot baths 2 or 3 times a day starting on day 3, and 15 minute walks twice a day as tolerated. The baths were a HUGE relief- like instant pain killer when climbing in the tub. So much relief that I was able to confidently locate the deflate button, and started cycling on day 4. (Eid recommends starting cycling between day 3-14, depending on how you feel.)
56. RARP for prostate cancer in Feb. 17, then no-go with pills, injections, vacuum, so here I am. Titan 20cm by Dr. Eid on 8/6/19, cycling on Day 4, stitches out Day 14, sex with a grateful wife on Day 20. And 21, 22, 23, etc.
