Implant Change During Procedure?

Has anyone had a different prosthesis installed other than what you were told was going to be used? Example: the doctor tells you before your surgery he is gonna use AMS 700 LGX then after surgery he tells you he used a AMS Ambicor instead for whatever reason.

I received ams cxr instead of ams lgx due to scarring near tip.
1995, VL since 18, pills dont work, injections sometimes provide good 20 minute erection which hurts
2019 implanted AMS CXR 14+6 due to fibrosis
2024 revision for Coloplast Titan 20+2 RTE

No surgeon in there right mind would go from a 3 piece to a 2 piece. Not during your procedure. Great surgeons will maybe go from 18cm to 20cm to size u correctly

Gleason 8.6 cancer? ? didn't want a reservoir in the way for future radiation? Just my guess. Did you have margins after the RP?
83, good health, RP 7-2017, all nerves taken , PSA 0.05in 2025,, implanted 4-1-18, Infra-pubic, AMS lgx 15 cm with 5cm rte. Implant at USC Keck. Dr Boyd and Dr Loh Doyle 6.5 x 5, 800 AUS 7-21-20 at Keck

I discussed AMS LGX berfore surgery wiith surgeon. Woke up to AMS CX. Surgeon said with my size 21cm + 2cm rte , CX offered much better ridigity.
