Re: Chart shows Titan cylinders length effects cylinders girth

Operative words to familiarize yourself with are:

Beam Strength
Beam Strength of cantilever beams
Moment of Inertia (not strictly stiffness, but proportionally related to stiffness) of the cross-section
Structural Beam Deflection
Column Buckling (especially as it relates to length)

Longer columns (longer implants) required larger diameters to maintain the same resistance to bending or buckling under load (fucking) given the same materials and all other things being equal.

I will have to look those terms up. You say longer implants require larger diameters to maintain the same resistance to buckling. Does this mean the 22 cm implant has less girth then the 28 cm implant? What do you think the 28 cm implant has for a diameter? You seem really good at math are you a engineer?

Studied engineering in college and worked in Civil Engineers in the Air Force. I also read the publication that Dr Eid did evaluating the resistance to buckling several months ago.

I would assume the Coloplast MIGHT make the longer cylinders with a larger diameter, but would not venture to argue for certain. The Coloplast customer service department might respond to an inquiry.

I am good enough at math to get myself into trouble. And sometimes out of it.
