I just got the word from m6 urologist that I am going to need an implant but due to family obligations I don’t think I can have the implant done until after Christmas. I am interested to know how your surgery went and if you were in much pain after the surgery. Did you have much bruising? I think my wife is more worried about me having the implant done than I am. She has been a nurse for forty years. I have done a little research and watched some surgery videos etc. Was the surgery very bad? I wish you the best of luck!

I was worried about my pump (I have the AMS 700 CX) 3 weeks old today. Anyway after activation I have had a bugger of a time getting it to go. First time the doctor did the inflate seemed so easy, when I did I think maybe I got to 50% before my poor sack.

Any way after about a week I rarely feel the pop or the bulb getting softer. Even with the firm bulb I was able to inflate. Which concerned me so I called Jamie the patient representative at AMS and when she called back I expressed my concerns to her. She made some suggestions and that evening Yesterday after doing what she suggested it popped on the first squeeze.

Give AMS a call the number should be on your patient information card.

I was looking at the DVD that AMS gave me and there are ways to reset the pump

Good luck

Every surgery is different. My first one really hurt right after surgery and the following day, but it started going away. It took around six weeks before the doctor said I could have sex if I wanted to. The second surgery my scrotum really got bruised up and was purple. I got worried and went back to the hospital the second day to the ER and the doctor said I had hematoma said to apply cold packs often. It eventually went away in about seven days. The third partial revision was the best in recovery. In three weeks the doctor told me I could use it in sex. I just laughed and I decided to wait four weeks since things were not quit ready for me. But the third was the best of all three. It is perfect and the way it should be. Very happy!

RayChez, I'm so glad that you are "very happy" with the way your implant is. :)
(But so sorry that it took 3 tries. Bummer.) :(

I had my original implant (AMS 700 CX, MS Pump, Pre-connect, IZ [REF: 72404232, LOT: 692113001, 18 cm X 12 mm] with a AMS 700 Reservoir, IZ [REF: 72404155, LOT: 707565018, 65 ml]) in 2011 & just had a revision to change the pump and penile cylinders on 8/15/19. I'm still swollen & in pain but deflated for the 1st time on 9/25/19 & now despite the agonizing squeezing on the pump bulb it doesn't want to re-inflate. Any how that is another post I did. Keep squeezing and deflating it should get easier. Sometimes we have to just grit our teeth and...well you know...No Pain No Gain right?

Can't hear or feel it over my screams. Seven days ago my doctor told me to inflate three times a day. I have gotten it twice, well, actually my girlfriend did. I should have been inflated 21 times by now, according to my doctor's directions. I squeeze until I'm blue in the face, and can't walk. I have tried it alone, with girlfriend, lying down, standing up, sitting in a chair, sitting in the tub. Tried hot water, heating pad. Nothing, not a thing, no pop. Tried Gorilla Snot to improve my grip on my testicles, nothing. (Gorilla Snot is a tacky substance guitar pickers use to hold on to their picks.) Tried doing it while watching the local weather girl, nothing. Very sorry I did this at this point, has not been worth it.

I can feel your frustration and it is perfectly understandable, how long ago were you implanted?
What kind of implant do you have?
Have you tried contacting your doctor, or the customer service department of the company who made your device?

I know it could be frustrating, maybe this is something simple to solve or maybe not, however, there is a solution out there, be patient.

I wish you all the best with your recovery, and I hope you reach the level of satisfaction that most member of this forums have with their implant.

I had my implant done 5 weeks ago. Yes it hurt to inflate the bulb. They say it is going to be better. I wish there was someone close tome here in South West Florida near Venice to talk to. If there is someone around here please contact me. Thanks.

I have respond to posts such as this, search for my response and/or read the forum. It gets better for most, your experience is normal.
