Lately it seems as though many are saying that loosing length from an implant is not as inevitable as it once was, (which suggests that : that that is a side effect of a bygone era), and that the more modern surgery techniques are able to preserve length. There does seem to be a caveat though. Every reassurance on this forum on “length preservation” always has a disclaimer: “you won’t lose length, unless of course, you have peyronies”. My urologist (Dr. Goldstein) has shown me the “rather formidable” tools he uses to bore through flesh, bone and scar tissue …….and my question is : why does scar tissue effect anything at all?

My situation: I am a "grower”. The variance from flaccid to erect is extreme. In inches, I go from 3 X 3 to 6 X 6. I also have very uniform scar tissue (peyronies) but no curvature....it’s as if a large sharpie pen has been implanted along the length of my penis. If I wake up from surgery, and they tell me “GREAT NEWS: you are now the proud owner of a 3 inch boner” I will have to be joining the French foreign legion.

Hey there! I sort of have another question for you. How has Te treated you for post finasteride syndrome? I was also in his office in 2016 for ultrasound diagnosis..

Dr. G is great. He looks at all the angles and is also a leading authority on the penis and also a top implant surgeon.
For PFS: Initially I had good erections but numbness. Now erections are compromised, but good sensitivity.I do : TRIMIX-Clomiphene-Arimidex–Cabergoline -Cialis -Traction-VED.

I had developed Peyronies in the year prior to my implant surgery. I had an upward curve when hard, but nothing noticeable when soft. As the Peyronies worsened my erect length was shorter. When I went in for a consultation with my surgeon about implants, he did the stretch test and it was way shorter than it had been several years earlier.

After implant surgery my doctor said he scraped out plaque from the Peyronies and ended up being able to use larger size cylinders than he had anticipated. In my mind I figured without the plaque my penis was more relaxed/flexible and therefore able to accommodate the longer cylinders.

As my penis healed and I started cycling I ended up back at the length I had prior to losing size from Prostatectomy and long term ED. That was 2” more than that in-office stretch test. So, I am guessing if a man loses 1” because of Peyronies, it was either a really bad case that had damaged the penis or the surgeon did not correct the problem

You are luck to no have lost anything with PD. The plaque makes the penis non elastic and the. You loose length. I too was like you. I was 6 erect and now 3 with 90 degree bend. Plaque all over and xiaflex made matters worse.
