Blowout II

Revision broke 5 months to the day. Things were going great, then BAM. This one I think is the tube from the reservoir, but we’ll see. The doc is out of town, so I have an appt next week.

This crap sure leaves you deflated (pardon the pun}.

The first break was 11 months from the day of implant. This one was 5 months.

Has anybody here needed a repair/reconnection of the tube from the reservoir to the pump? I’m hoping this could be something which may be less involved with quick recovery. Thanks.

Oh dude, I feel sorry for you. My advice : have a brand new implant, less risk of infection and less risk of mechanical failure .

It s the gold standard to have it replaced, not just repaired.
It will be ok

was the first and second device PREASSEMBLED or did they do the connections during the installation surgery?

I've always been leery of someone connecting the tubing.
I guess if one only needs a revision, it would be worth the risk.
Not everyone is mechanically inclined and doctors really need some mechanical ability.

L. A. Johnson, sorry you are having problems with your johnson again. Cheers man, despite the troubles.

Just a couple of days ago I saw a Dr. Kramer video where he basically says the same thing, though I did see one where he just replaced the connector between the pump and reservoir. I need to make a list of questions for my doc. thanks.

The first one I'm pretty sure was pre-assembled. The revision was new pump and cylinders and connected the existing reservoir.

It sure can make you go bananas sorting this stuff out.

I couldn't agree more. I'm a bit conflicted on this, thanks.

Thanks, things were going quite well with the revision before this.
