Does risk of infection increase with multiple operations/revisions

But it asks a good question pertinent to younger men who may expect to need implant replacement (revisions) a few times in their lifetimes.

How much risk of infection is there with the first revision? Does that risk increase with subsequent revisions.

Yes, I think so. Every time you implant, you ll put bacteria in the body. The no-touch technique counteract this phenomenon.

First implant I had swelling, the second implant I had to take levofloxacin because of redness and swelling.
Third time I had pump erosion due to erosion and I have my explantation tuesday.
I had young (38), no health conditions (no diabetis).

I just may have some staph bacteria in my system (skin or tissue) that made infection.
Most of the time you are contamined with you own bacteria.
