Anyone else here have different length RTE’s ?

Postby Evinrude » Tue Aug 06, 2019 5:39 pm

My AMS info card has two different label/stickers where the RTE size is placed ( and interestingly only one single sticker size box to place the labels). 0.5cm and 1.5cm... why two different lengths ?
Age 68, widower in 2017, remarried 2019. Viagra worked at first but less and less so as time went on. Never tried injections. AMS 700 LGX 15cm (2cm RTE) Implant 6/19/19 Broderick @ Mayo C. JAX.

call your AMS rep. Request a full sheet of what was installed. They get $11,000. 00 for the implant, they can give you all the info on it. My info sheet from the ams rep shows 2ea 5cm rte, 2ea 15 cm cylinders, 1 65 cc reservoir, 1 pump and 1 accessory kit. Also states mfg date, lot# and expiration date ( warranty) of each item. You may need this info if it ever fails. Don't count on dr/hospital to have this info 10 years from now.
direct answer to your question is: I think you have 2 15 cm cyl, 2 .5 rte and 2 1.5 cm rte to make up 2 15cm cylinders with 2 cm of rte for a total of 17 cm

OK, I think I get it... the 0.5 is snapped together with the 1.5 for 2cm total. Then the curiosity is why not use a 2cm instead ? Was he simply "out of stock" on 2cm RTE's that day ?? Then I wonder if two RTE's snapped together are as rigid as one of the proper length in the first place ?

But it says "or if" which implies something should go there regardless.
