Dr said that its possible I could have a small bulge where the reservoir is. Has anyone else had this happen?

This is a little complicated, and I admit I don't have all the info I should. I do have a bulge at my waistline as a result of the reservoir presence.

After my surgery, my doc explained he had difficulty positioning the reservoir due to scar tissue I had from a laparoscopic prostatectomy and (perhaps) a laparoscopic colon resection. Consequently, my reservoir is on my right side and is clearly apparent if you look for it. When I had the surgery, I was about 20 pounds heavier than I am now. He said that my weight at the time disguised the presence of the reservoir. Not so much today.

I think my surgeon decided to limit the surgery time and sew me up as quickly as possible. Other surgeons may have a different approach, but I nevertheless trust his judgement. He told me that he would reposition the reservoir to make it less apparent. So far, I am not motivated to have another surgery. Maybe later.

I have no idea where my reservoir is.
I thought I'd feel it, but never have.

Is it placed above or behind the abdomen muscles?

I really don't know where my reservoir is placed. I can still feel where the doc punctured me to get it out of the genital area.

Cant feel it. Mine is the smaller one. Had rarp, then hernia repair after implant. Warned hernia surgeon to watch out for it. I was told mine was under my core muscles just above my pubic bone. I can feel the tube going into that area. 5.9 160 lb

Hi,
My reservoir is visible on the lower left of my abdomen and I can feel it when not-inflated. If the reservoir was implanted above the abd muscles it will likely be visible and able to be felt. When my weight was around the mid 190's not visible at all. Not that I have dropped about 20 lbs and started working on my abs it is a bit more visible. I like it as a gauge to my weight loss. My wife sees it an compliments on the weight loss. I guess seeing and feeling it a matter of preference; it is not bad or good or wrong or right, just how you feel about it.
Best
