If so, the tactra implants do not seem to be implants metioned in this paper.

Boston scientific has been trying to make new implant beyond the inflatable implant for years.
They've been writing papers about their new project. Above link is one of them.

So, the mention of the nitinol (shape-memory allow that attains one shape when at one temperature and another shape at another temperature -so-called "phase-shift") is not the dual-shape anticipated by the paper, but just a regular malleable made of a more durable and easier-to-use material than prior models.

The shape-memory implant would be promising if it not only stiffened, but expanded in length and girth in its secondary phase. A "grower" and no pump or reservoir! And easier for the surgeon to insert as well. Except for 1) the need of an external triggering device and 2) possible problems with MRIs and TSA, what's not to like?

If every time my wife starts cooking on the induction stove I got a woody. It would bring new meaning to cooking something up.

Yah I asked about the nitinol. I was driving so I may have missed part of what he said. But he basically made it sound like its just to reinforce the silicone. Its not like friction from a HJ or sex (or waving a magic wand over your penis) makes it go from flaccid to erect. Its always erect.

He could tell I was younger and recommended the Titan or AMS over is 100%.
