By "rods" do you mean one of the connections that either feeds the saline solution in or out of the inflation tubes ? And if so was the issue obvious to him, in that he could no longer inflate ?

(on edit)...or do you meant the "extensions" that hold/position the inflation tubes in the body ?

I think the best advice is to wait for the green light from your surgeon. I can't explain the broad range of waiting times but I'd hope that they are based upon sound logic.
FWIW, Dr Karpman wants to see his patients after a week to teach the inflate/deflate. Then it sounds like it's useable at 3 weeks.

I have surgery a week from tomorrow and plan to follow all of the doctors orders. I sure I hope I can be patient.
51yo type 1 diabetic 24 years ed issues started at about 45 pills only help a little now I use a vacuum pump to get erect enough for sex married 27 years. Implanted 7-24-19 with AMS 700 MS by Dr. Aaron C. Lentz
