5 weeks in from 700 surgery. I am not happy.

Postby bentorangepecker » Tue Jul 09, 2019 6:30 pm

To start out, I'm 50. I have MS which caused my ED. I could get an erection , but couldn't maintain it. Cialis would work somewhat, but would take 6-10 hours to be effective.. I tried a few injections . They worked but only for less than an hour. With the injections I would get my full erection. 5 weeks ago I had my 700 installed. Very painful experience. I don't like the scars on my penis. I hate how the pump is visible through my balls. I don't have huge balls. With my penis I was a grower not a showwer. I was 7.2 inches fully erect and pretty wide. Now I'm less than 5 inches and lost half my girth. Getting the pump to work sometimes is impossible to force the valve open. And it's painful . I can clearly see the implants through what's left of the size of my penis. Curios to what others have experienced . My doctor is well regarded and has performed hundreds and hundreds of these priceedures but I feel I got shafted ( no pun intended ). I know it's gonna be a long time still til I can perform . My wife is gonna hate this tiny thing in her. I still don't see how it's gonna be able to work. If it even moves side to side it's very painful. And all the tubing can be felt. Please share experiences ..

Was a 700lgx installed? What size tubes and RTEs? Where are the tips in relativity to your glans when soft? Did you have peyronies prior to operation? Scrotal install or infrapubic ?

Read my thread Went from "What did I do" to "OH YEAH!!". I was dealing with almost your exact concerns at first but it gets better.

I don't like the fact that the pump ball makes a clearly visible bulge on the side of my scrotum. But so far, I am the only one bothered by that.

My penis side-to-side dimension is far greater than its depth (making an oval cross-section) but my girlfriend has not complained one bit.

I was a grower before implant. I don't mind being a shower now (though my very average size makes that a non-issue anyway).

Operating the pump and valve does get easier after time. Practice will teach you the proper grip and also toughen your scrotal skin to the compressions.

At 5 weeks your pain levels should be easing. Ask your surgeon about this.

Being able to feel the tubing is normal, but if they are so prominent as to present an erosion problem, ask your surgeon about it before it becomes a problem.

Look on the bright side. You WILL be able to perform sexually.

How long ago were you 7.2 inches? As a teenager? Immediately before surgery? It makes a big difference. I took photographs before my surgery and measured carefully.

Push the release valve and squeeze your dick. Then try to pump again. You should feel a pop in the pump and then inflating will be easier. And it takes more than 5 weeks to completely heal.

I measured the day before surgery . .. I have to find my booklet on the size of the unit and the spacers. Yes I was bent to the left. I had this tendon? that went from the tip all the way into my body that kept me upright. I think it's what helped to keep me hard. It's obviously removed now. I just can't see how In time this thing is going to stretch to my old size. I lost over 2 inches in length and then a high %, of my girth. Mentally I am going nuts. At the tip I can clearly feel the 2 inserts. I am going to be worried that this will shift during sex and cause more pain. Sorry for ranting ...this has put me in a horrible place mentally.

I think you have a right to rant.
Which AMS 700 did you get,
LGX, CX, or CXR?

It really sounds like you got a bad installation though.

From 7.2" to less than 5". I would ask my surgeon what happened to the other 2". Are they accordioned? Are you measuring correctly? Did he measure (inside your penis) correctly? That flesh had to go somewhere. Do not be accusatory, just investigative. Perhaps the bend to the left has something to do with it?

Are you talking about the suspensory ligament? It should not (absent some overriding factor) be necessary to cut it.

Are you fully pumped up? Scar tissue formed after surgery can be painful to break up. A scar tissue capsule (pseudo-capsule) begins to form immediately after surgery. The sooner you get pumped up and prevent that size-limiting pseudo-capsule from forming over the deflated implant, the better.

bentorangepecker wrote:At the tip I can clearly feel the 2 inserts.

The distal tip (end of the penis) or proximal tip (in your pelvic crus, deep inside you). Inserts go on the proximal tip. You will (as all of us do) be able to feel the distal tips of the implant, which are hard plastic on all models of implant from both manufacturers, but no inserts go there. There should be nothing to shift. The tips should go into your glans (penis head) far enough to support it and leave no room for shifting around.

When disappointed over an outcome with no clear solution or explanation, it is perfectly normal to feel that way. Do not let it get you down, but make yourself informed. Knowledge dispels these negative feelings and makes you more able to 1) find solutions and/or 2) deal with your realities - whatever they are. (Penile, personal or out in the world)

I would use my external pump to measure. Without it even running. Just have to insert to my lap and can easily see the sizing. I had marked on it with crayons the girth and length. On multiple occasions pre surgery.

Mine grew in length but little in gerth. Now I am on my 2nd implant after the 1st deflated via a cylinder leak. I believe after a few months go by and you heal, much of length and with will return. Pump more than 2 times a day.
