Revision

Two years later I need to go for revision due to discomfort of left cylinder being too long (I think) I will not know until I visit with doctor just what is wrong.

So my question is; to those that have had a revision, how does pain, discomfort, healing time compare with first implant?

Gary...do you plan to revisit Dr. Eid for the examination/ revision?

I have had two revisions and the last partial revision I recovered within three weeks, give or take a couple of days. I was amazed how fast I recovered this last time.

The first implant was the hardest for me. But now I know that by applying ice packs often you will recover a lot faster.

Gary: I forgot to ask you if they can just replace the cylinders and leave the rest alone. It is a lot less intrusive by just doing a partial, and AMS says that it is OK to do a partial as long as it is less then five years from the last implant.

Yes Navy, I am returning to Dr Eid to discuss the situation and find out what went wrong. At that time, Chaz, I assume we will be talking about any changes. Good to hear that you recovered in 3 weeks.

I am scheduled August 7th for talk and pre op with Dr Eid then for surgery August 9th and I have an important appointment September 15th (5 weeks later) that requires travel so hoping for quicker recovery than original which took about 8 weeks.
