Wanted everyone to know I think I’m over the worst of the WTF did I do. Nurse left this morning saying no more catheter, & discharged me. No more pain pills. Urine & bowels doing fine. Urine retention went down from 310 yesterday to 123 this morning. Awesome! Slept great last night with only 2 pee interruptions. Had cabin fever so wife & I went out for 1st time for dinner last night. Still using ice as nurse said you can’t over do the benefits of ice for the little discomfort I still have. Hope my message for all you guys who may have been on the fence like I was for the last several years are encouraged by my post. Congrats! Good to know all is going well. And you're right about the ice - my cold pack was my best friend for several days. That and Tylenol got me through just fine (but my relative youth may have helped as well ).

Yes that first week is tough it it’s over and now your on the road to recovery. It won’t be long till you have put that week way back in your memory
