2 quick questions as I begin this journey.

1. How much out of pocket did the implant cost you?
2. How many pumps does it take to get full erection?

Hi guy
My insurance covered it so only
$600.00 out of pocket.
I leave 3 pumps in all the time. It’s been so long since I had a dick that hung I’ve enjoyed feeling it again. It’s hard enough to use with about 6 pumps.
Good luck with the venture

1. About $300 after insurance.

2.Don't know- haven't fully inflated in years. On the rare occasions when I did inflate I usually put in 5 or 6 small squeezes, holding for maybe 30 seconds - just enough to stretch it a bit. I never had occasion to inflate it for sex

Cost? Almost nothing. Veteran's Administration was wonderful (disabled vet).

Cost? A LOT of studying; and that information, I am convinced, smoothed the way for my primary care physician to be my advocate in proceeding forward.

Cost? A LOT of research to find the RIGHT surgeon.

How many pumps? If I go full-wall-to-wall pumps, fewer than if I make small squeezes of the pump. But in time, about 30 to 45 seconds, either way. (Note that my hand strength is somewhat compromised by my deteriorating thumb joints, but I have learned to work around most of that).

Cost: 24K for the surgery. A little over 2k more for travel, lodging and misc. items for travel and staying in my hotel room. IIRC aprox. $200 more for the pre surgery testing and fax and certified mail fee's to mail the checks. Might be something I am missing but I would think not much over 27k total.

Pumps: Depends on a number of things. Mostly how the pump decides to work, how deflated I was to start, how complete the pumps are, if I go to max and keep adding more or just want a bit in to get the tips up to the lower part of the glands. Best guess would be 15 to 35+.

Our system in Oz is a bit different.
Private health insurance covered the apparatus: $15k (Australian dollars)
About $3k to the surgeon after a public health rebate and some flights and accomm costs $1k
About $5000 out of pocket costs to me.
Best money I ever spent in my life!

Pumps: always have about 30% in the chambers so my Titan looks fairly substantial all the time.
Only time I squeeze it down is a couple of times a week when I go for surf.....it feels better laying on my board when it’s deflated right down however i re-inflate when in the shower afterwards ....it feels and looks better

Lost Sheep,
I'm just reading this thread and read you were taken care of by the VA. I too am a veteran, and I wonder if this is a route I should look into. My insurance does not cover the implant. I have spoken to a urologist at the VA. Could I PM you or converse with you offline. maybe you could give me some advice on how to navigate through that channel.

Thank you!

Cost: $0. Medicare covered 80% Supplemental Ins covered the rest. Would have to look back at the record's to be sure. (Cost was, I believe around $30,000)
Pumps: 15 gets a nice erection but not rock hard. Thats from almost completely deflated. 20 to 25 is about as hard as I can get.
