3 Weeks After Surgery

Postby FunGuy69 » Fri May 24, 2019 12:38 am

Hello Brothers,

It is 3 Weeks with my implant and I think I am doing fine. I learned a lot in the last 3 weeks. Special Thank You to Larry10625, Disapointed2, Quincy and 505AbqNM for advise that helped my recovery. :)

I had the follow-up appointment with my Surgeon upon 2 weeks. He said everything went well. He did not answer many questions and said "You think too much". He said most of my pain was because I was sent home with the pump almost fully inflated. He then deflated my pump from about 90% to about 60%. It was very painful though. Doctor struggled to do it. At least that is how I felt. He then asked me to make 2nd appointment at 6 weeks post-op when he would teach me to inflate and deflate.

I had some scrotal swelling and discomfort at 2 weeks but now at 3 weeks, I feel 90% fine. Did 30 minutes of walking+jogging every day this week.

Questions:
1. I see that some guys/doctors are activating the tool even 2 weeks after surgery. My doctor told me NOT to even play with the pump until he teaches me to inflate and deflate it at 6 weeks. I am OK to wait but curious to squeeze the toy here and there to see what happens! Any comments/advice?

2. My doctor said there is nothing special to do from 2 weeks to 6 weeks other than avoiding sex completely. That is, there is nothing I can do to speed up the recovery or get to activation stage. True?

Thanks a lot!

Dr Eid advices you to start cycling from day 3.....
We started at day 4 and have been doing it since then. This is to maximize size by not letting the scartissue that forms in the first week win. If you inflate regularly from the beginning there will be no loss of length and girth.

Congrats. Time, and doing what your doctor said is good advice. Every doctor has a different protocall that they follow. The success of there surgeries are all about their instructions and I am sure that no two doctors will be exactly the same. So follow your doctors advice. The temptation is frustrating for sure.
Good luck;

Hard to know what to think of that. I have the impression from two urologists I use glowing reports on my surgeon, plus my experience with the implant surgeon that he is one of the best in the country...and yet he wanted me to wait until 6 weeks to be "activated" the first time. Then he delayed yet another 2 weeks (8 weeks total) because I am a 3 hour drive away (on the theory even at 6 weeks I could have trouble)

Still, I sailed thru this saga with zero bruises, so little pain and so much horniness I "self activated" at 16 days ! I shouldn't have of course...but, but...

I was kept inflated for first 2 weeks to about 60 percent. At end of week 2 he deflated to about 20 percent or so. For some reason I started auto inflating and could not find deflate button. Had to drive up to see doc to get him to deflate it. About 3 weeks after implant.

He made sure I could inflate and deflate since I was also 3 hour drive to him.

Basically told me all looked great. I could skip my next appt. Go have fun with it. Inflate a couple times a day for 15 minutes or so each. If I needed something call otherwise no reason to come back.

4.5 months now. I still inflate but just once for 30 minutes to an hour each day.

One thing I saw from all the journals and stories is each doc has there own protocol. Mine was supposed to be 60 percent inflated for 2 weeks. Deflate to 20 percent for another 2 weeks. End of week 4 start cycling. All that went away at week 3 when he saw me for deflate issue. I really liked that flexibility. I am at my presurgery stretch length already. Hope it just gets better.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.
