Sitting Discomfort Post Op

Postby andrew1959nj » Thu May 23, 2019 3:15 pm

I was implanted 6 days ago. I haven't had any serious pain, but sitting is not comfortable. I can feel the implant. How long does it take for this discomfort to go away?

That's normal. I had some discomfort sitting for a couple of weeks. Went back to work after a week and had trouble making it all the way through at my desk. Give it time you have gone through some major surgery and it will take several weeks to heal completely.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

This I believe was something I mentioned some months ago. Pain releif from sitting.Try this it worked well for me. Take 2 hand towels approximatly 14 x 24 roll them up the short way then place them on the chair that your sitting in, in a V shape so that your legs are uon top of the towels adjust the colosed end of the V to suit. This works to relieve the pressure after two or three weeks everthing starts to settle in. I'm not saying its all better but it is the beginning of the return to normalcy by 6 weeks you'll still have a bit of discomfort but by then you'll be using it and getting used to the new normal. I think we all want implants to be instant fixes unfortunatly there is healing time and learning time but rest assured it going to be better than a limp useless noodle.

I posted about the sitting discomfort after my surgery. The most painful part of the entire process was the 45 minute car service ride to the airport on day 4. Something about sitting upright on a firm seat caused aching pain throughout the area. But that was the worst of it, and everything improved very quickly within a week or so, can't remember exactly as it's all a distant memory now.

I bought a hemroid / prostatectomy pillow with a hole in the center and reliefs for my junk. I wish it was C shape. I like the V-shaped towel configuration. I just have to get support under each cheek and tailbone.

Thanks. I'm going to cut up my pillow and see if it works better. I need more "open" space. I'll post before and after pics if it works for me.

After surgery, I had the same feelings. Getting in and out of my car was the last artifact to disappear. So, a few months after implant I have adjusted to the implant and feel perfectly natural with it.

It's day 9 and rolling out of bed this morning felt markedly better. Be it lying on the couch or in bed, swinging the legs over the side and sitting up isn't a pleasant feeling. It not painful but my package is saying whoa, be careful. I just started taking Motrin yesterday. There isn't much pain but its supposed to help reduce swelling too. In any case, I'm seeing improvement.
