I have had ED for many years. Pills and shots do not work. I started using exogenous testosterone shots about a year ago for bodybuilding. Bodybuilding has helped keep me sane and feeling masculine while I am completely inputent. The testosterone was not prescribed by a doctor and I have no perscription. I would like to stay on the shots up to and threw the surgery but I understand this may be a precaution to surgery.
Will the doctor need a blood draw during the consultation before surgery?
Is it ok if my testosterone levels test high?
Steroids and operation
Re: Steroids and operation
Not using pharmgrade testo will put you at increased danger for infection.
Testo increases rbc - which might show on the normal panel.

My consult is in three weeks and I’ve read that it takes about 3 weeks for the test to leave your system. would rbc be one of the first things to drop when I quit injecting?
Re: Steroids and operation
Not sure about this topic. Plenty of us here are on testosterone and never heard of it being an issue. My doc never even brought it up.

Re: Steroids and operation
I read a lady from my doctors staff my list of medicines. Dosage & frequency. She only asked 2 questions on items that I had missed. She asked about testosterone (I had forgot it) & vitamins/supplements. She didn't seem to care either way on the use of them. The test was a honest mistake on my part. The supplements surprised me.

I don't know how it compares to testosterone injections but I do know that cortisone and other topical and injected steroidal compounds will suppress the immune system which is the one thing you *DO NOT WANT* when you're getting a penis implant.
If testosterone injections have a similar systemic immune suppression result, I would imagine it would be wise to stop the injections some time before getting the surgery (weeks, not days before). If testosterone injections do not have the same results as cortisones and other similar steroids, then it's probably okay.
My suggestion is to ask a medical professional if there is an immune suppression response or any other issues that may arise from those injections in relationship to the surgery and recovery.

Personally I've just been using an app on my phone called Samsung Health and monitoring my caloric intake. I went from 240 lbs in October 2019 to 193 in March 2020. I've gained 10 lb (recently 203) in the past 4 months due to physical inactivity and cheating on my diet due to boredom from cabin fever but still a sight better than the 240 lbs I was 8 months ago.

My weight had been a very steady 220 plus or minus a couple of pounds. After I retired 2 years ago I drifted up about 15 pounds. My type 2 finally required insulin. So I do several glucose checks per day. That helped me identify where I was getting my excess carbs from. I have lost 10 of the 15 & I think the other 5 or so will eventually go also. No secret diet, just a small cut back in my carb intake.

I've also been using Samsung health but is does not tell concretely how many calories you have lost and gained. Better do it the old way, by taking record on your own every day, if it is important for your health. Moreover, you know better how many calories you've eaten and how much you've lost. When I just started working out I needed to use steroids so it would boost my muscle growth. I've found where to buy hgh online as with all this pandemic the stores have been closed. Anyway, when I was working out I was taking record myself and it was not that hard after all.

Re: Steroids and operation
I have been on testosterone for several years starting after my accident. For me it was never even brought up by my first implant surgeon who was not my urologist. I then went to a new urologist. Kept up with testosterone with a different doc as well.
Of course I had levels after my accident around 50. About highest I have registered since is 300, which is low normal. Not sure if you show up high normal what that might do.
I asked about stopping taking it to see if my body would start again. I was told. No. I was then told it probably got even worse. My body probably just quit producing it when I started taking testosterone by cream or injection or pellet.
Just sucks. I also noticed my nuts shrinking. I used to have big nice balls. Noticeably smaller.
Positive side is more room in the sac with this humongous ams pump.
