Where did you post pictures?? I don't remember seeing them.. Can you direct me to a link? Thanks :)

On the first posting I made above, I posted a fully pumped and a flaccid photo. You don't see them? When I click on it I do.

Hey, Then I will shoot my questions:

1.) How does your erection on pills (when they worked) compare against the implant erection ? ( feeling, sensitivity, etc

2.) What was the exact effect you got from the pills when you got the implant ? ( erection did go soft during sex, barely able to get one etc)

3.) When doing the pre-surgery injection with eid, did you get an erection from the injection ?

Hi, sure, happy to answer them:

1) In terms of erection quality, I'd say fairly similar. In terms of feelings, the implant is not quite the same, not quite as sensitive. And when it is fully pumped it is truly rock hard. On pills I found it harder and harder to cum, which I learned is a common side effect. I mentioned it is sometimes hard to ejaculate when fully pumped now during sex. But that is maybe 15% of the time I'd say.

2) Do you mean before the implant? I've never used pills with the implant. But before the implant, if I had a full stomach the pills wouldn't work very well. I might lose the erection. In terms of pure erection, they worked pretty well (for me the most effective was vardenafil rapid-dissolvable tablets). But I had to increase the dosage over time. Sometimes I'd use a 20mg Cialis as 'background' and then would take vardenafil on top to ensure 100% erection good for sex. If I was on top, I'd say erection was usually 100% of the time for me with that. But if I lay on my back then I'd often use the erection.

The pills never stopped working but I hated the side effects (flushing, head ache) and having to always worry about the timing, if I had them, etc.

3) Yes, I got a full erection with the injection with Eid. He did the ultrasound and showed me where you could see the blood leaking back out from the venous leak, but the erection stayed with the injection.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reflections Titan Guy! It's really helpful for those of us planning to go bionic. I am scheduled in August for a Titan. I'm also a gay man. Have you had guys notice the pump? Have you shared with any partners you have an implant? What was the reaction? It sort of looks like you might be wearing a cock ring. Are you? I wear them a lot, enjoy the feeling and was wondering if they'd still be comfortable/useful after. I go back and forth in my head about what I will tell people. I've gotten to a point in my life where if someone can't accept things/me...its not really a good fit anyway. We all have our health issues. They don't change who we are.

I'm not sure I get why having a cock that doesn't go as flaccid looking is an issue. Maybe because I've never worn boxers in my life.

For others...I have used both pills and shots for about 15 years (depending on what I thought was going to happen). The shot usually worked but when it's super hard..its but harder to cum. I'm hoping with pump I can moderate that to what feels and works best. I also noticed the shot was inconsistent for me. Sometimes it lasted longer and was harder. Other times it was almost like I had missed somewhat. It would get hard but not as hard as other times. For anal sex if its not hard enough it's like trying to stuff a pair of rolled up socks in. For vaginal sex I could get in but not if they wanted to sit on it.

Hi BeardedMan,

Here's goes some answers. Hope they're helpful.

1) Yes, pretty much anyone you have sex with using their hands is going to notice the pump. There's no way not to if someone touches your nuts. I've never said I have an implant, just that I had health issues and surgery but everything is fine. No one has ever pressed much beyond that.

Your gut feeling is a strong one. What matters is how you feel about things, not worrying about what others think.

2) No, not a cock ring. No reason to wear one post-implant. I could never wear a metal one anymore...it's not possible to get it on with the pump. I tried out of curiousity. A stretchy one, sure, that would work. Can get in the way of the pump if your nuts get tight.

3) It sounds like some guys on here still wear boxers. I definitely can't or it looks like I have a boner in there, but I don't mind sacrificing them (I actually just tossed all mine after 18 months of thinking maybe it would soften up). Naked it just looks like I have a thick penis (or so I think that's how it looks).

Best of luck with the journey,

TitanGuy

TitanGuy - thank you for sharing your experience. I sent you a PM. Please respond when you have a chance. Thank you!

Titanguy, thanks for the pics and info. I am not gay, but may I say, that is one fine looking erection! If my inevitable implant has me looking that good, I’ll be damned happy!

It sounds like you opted for the implant before you became completely impotent. I am using pills for now - Cialis 2.5 mg every day - and my erections are generally good but I really hate the constant fear of losing them, even if it’s only a little bit (they stay long enough to have successful sex 99% of the time, but sometimes they are unnervingly slow to grow or floppy).

Can I ask what it was that made you take the plunge? When and why did you realize that it was finally time?

Because of medical conditions not totally unrelated to my ED (premature heart disease due to genetically high Lp(a) levels that are 13 times normal), I am unlikely to live past my 60s, so I recently decided that 55 would be the oldest I would want to get before having the implant done. I am currently 45.
Genetically sky-high Lp(a) of 390 led to various heart diseases. Ultra-low testosterone of 120 (now 480 with Clomid) also contributed to ED at age 41. Managing with daily Cialis, but for me, the implant is a "when", not an "if".

Hi Nocturne,

Well a lot of years before now and then, so hopefully they find a bunch of treaments that will take you into your 90s. You are correct that I was not fully impotent when I opted for the implant. I'm just sexually active and grew to absolutely despise being so pill dependent. The only pill that really worked for me was Staxyn. It was a wonder drug for me but I just hated all the worrying that came with them, and the doubt that they might still fail. I also had a very hard time ejaculating when I was on them, which really bothered me.

It's different for everyone. The freedom of knowing I can have sex when I want without worrying if the pill fell out of my pocket or if I need to refill a prescription, etc. out-weighed the cons for me. And implants clearly have cons too, as I outlined above. Just have to weigh what's most important to you.

Thank you for the kind words.

Stay healthy and live long,
TitanGuy

TitanGuy---your comments are so insightful and uplifting for us all. It is great when a bionic brother comes back to this board to share stories and experience 18 months after surgery. It shows just how great life on the other side can be. For most of us who were cured a long time ago, there are so many other things in life to focus on, thus, most of us bionics, once the dust settles, "go away". So, having people come back and post long term reports is super helpful to those standing at the precipice of this scary journey.

Once again, thank you TitanGuy !
