Reasons not to get an implant.

Postby DougAnd » Thu Apr 25, 2019 8:31 am

My wife and I were both convinced that the problem was all in my head. That untruth was so very hurtful. Neither of us had our youthful appearance. So it seemed logical. If this is you get a Doppler ultra sound and check for venous leakage. If you check out ok go see a sex councilor if not cross that reason not to get an implant off of your list.
Everything online assures you that you will not lose any length. Every surgeon I saw promised me that he would absolutely shorten my penis. So I eventually accepted the loss then ended up with more than I had the day of surgery. Find the Doc who will promise you no more than 1/4" loss and go for it. Small price to pay for an eternal erection.
When I first researched implants never expected to get one. At that time my deductible was far too high. But looking back had I been determined I could have waited till December and gotten for one year the more expensive coverage that would have covered it better. Won't work for everyone. I got lucky and became eligible for medicare and also bought a supplement. If this is your reason for not getting an implant keep trying. You might find what you need. Get an insurance broker to help you.
Good luck. Being able to have sex isn't everything. But it is a huge part of being a guy.

I think DougAnd's musings and insights are very interesting and of considerable use to us implantee's (both current and future).

Perhaps an idea would be for DougAnd to make a diary on here. One thread where he can submit his musings and keep it together. It would also be easier to read through, and to see how his views change over time.

This is the place to vent and talk freely, perhaps containing them to one continuous thread is a way foward?

That s what I am proposing for some posts now, but he keeps on posting new threads.

DougAnd I value your postings, but they tend to overwhelm other newbies who are posting with immediate concerns and do not get answers.

Perfect :) I think you can contribute a lot to all members with a continuing thread.

And I did in no case make you want to stop posting here, I did not realize/remember that diary has an other original meaning as a daily journal as english is not my mother language and I did never live in any english speaking country.
